They're both similar in terms of clear time but shyvana has far more damage early game. With Red buff, she's essentially a higher damage version of udyr without the bear stun. Also, early counterjungling (blue->red) is far safer with shyvana since she can open boots+3 and still clear while mundo's restricted to cloth+5 in most cases to stay safe.
Through the early to mid game, shyvana has to have red in order to gank unless her lanes have CC or she'll wind up throwing on her E and not much else. Mundo has CC in the form of cleavers and can gank without red. Once they get onto someone though, shyvana has much much more burst than mundo although not quite as high sustained damage.

That's exactly my point. No one is willing to take that risk until they know that can get the kill. you either get the free autos on them (just reset aggro with a bush after) or they run away missing out on cs. if they stay and fight you can reduce their damage to almost 0 with exhaust if you NEED to though normally you don't, you also have the ability to remove 10 armor/mres on command and up to 20 if you want to use exhaust. that's only at level 1 though.

Is Cass a good counter to Ryze? I have always thought that, but today i picked Cass against Ryze, and 2 guys were cursing at me, and the other one dodged. :O wut.
edit: picked it for some1 who asked that is, i maybe have 2 games with Cass totaled, that's why i am asking.

Yeah thanks guys, that's what i thought, like i edited there, i picked it for someone else, and have only a few games with Cass. But the lane just seems to be an instant win for Cass. Both have to stand there to exchange spells, and Cass E is so godly in those kinds of situations... :I

Why do we need to have discussion about eve top. If you think eve top is good play 50 games and then you can say what you think instead of plaguing us with infinite theorycraft.

i have lost lane to eve exactly 1 time, and that was because she would fake going out of lane to other lanes, stealth and come back in with the jungler. in no circumstances was i ever in danger 1 on 1.
you are completely neglecting the opposing champ having runes, skills, or passives. you think you're gonna win lane with 21 defensive and +6 AD? okay, wukong comes to lane with 31 armor pen, you're going to have like 7 armor after i hit you with Q. i'm happy to stand and tank creep damage when my autos are hitting you for near-true-damage.
you're talking about animation cancelling ON MELEE CHAMPS. that's not even a thing. the amount of reaction time and energy it would take to consistently animation cancel on a lower-ranged MELEE champ to get free hits on someone like xin... if you had that skill you would not be unranked right now. you would steamroll to at least 1600.

Well, then, what i don't get is why you guys don't just test it. Take a few good players, and play a few 1v1s toplane with eve vs varying champions. Apparently some people think she wins the lane, and others think she doesn't. While this might not yield perfect results, because people are differently good at this game, it will almost certainly be much more accurate then talking about it for ages without any of the two sides ever having played the matchup before.

I just had a game ARAM Proving Grounds where I got Eve.
Not too good, stealthing around, opening on people who get separated from the group. They had a few oracles purchased, but you can just ask your team to kill them ASAP, its all good.
The funnest part was when their nexus was open. Unlike in Summoners Rift where open nexus = game lost, both Nexus being open is common in ARAM Proving Grounds, but stealth backdoor on the turret was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. I had heaps of fun doing it, you feel like a real hero when you troll backdoor as Eve, no lie.

Actually Eve is pretty damn strong if she gets farmed. Which she should if she wins the lane, don't you think so?
Triforce + some tank items at a appropriate time and Eve becomes a beast (assuming she fits into your team comp, imo both CC and burst heavy comps work, also the enemy team shouldn't have Urgot + Ryze + Soraka). You'd have to plaster the map with pink wards to not lose your squishies in every single teamfight.
Eve's problem is getting past early/midgame without falling behind in gold.

My only contribution to this utterly inane Eve discussion is to point out that full Armor/MR pages are secret OP and everyone should have them. So many lanes become far less scary when you have 70+ of the appropriate defensive stat.
There's really nothing special about Eve, full Armor/MR pages are just crazy.
