As eager as I am for the new spectator mode, what do people think of the possible abuse of the new drop-in spectator mode with regards to using a friend to get jungle respawn timers for you? can do that with streams as well

But with stream you have to ghost an enemy player, so it only works on the off chance that you're matched against a streamer.

I feel like it's one of those things they can't do much about. Drop-in spec mode for friends is pretty pointless if it's on a delay. I like to leave my stream off delay so people (you) can comment in almost real time.

If people want to ghost and cheat, and there's any remote means to do so, they will. They're just douchebags in my book. It's a game, no need to cheat. It's honestly not that big a deal - solo q doesn't mean all that much.

I like watching Destiny stream occasionally because he's amusing and doesn't temper his actions to pander to those around him as much as lots of other streamers do.

I don't watch your stream because if I want entertainment I have Destiny etc, and if I want to learn or watch high level play I have the professionals.
I have no idea if you're for real or not, but after reading your description of yourself and your stream I have a feeling I'd choke on the superciliousness and egotism if I were to tune in.

That's a pretty polite way to put it but I think this is a really bad attitude. When you consider this kind of thing I think you should keep Orb's story in mind: mouthing off easily gets out of hand, especially online, and creates really negative experiences for people, a lesson Orb readily learned after being fired. Destiny especially is playing with people at 1300 elo, for whom (aside from a handful) LoL will be nothing more than an idle pastime that at best will pay them in friends they meet.

As a result I think that getting mad at people in LoL is immature and shows a gross misunderstanding of what role games will play in your life. I've been playing and made completely stupid plays in the past three days, but these have no bearing whatsoever on any other aspect of my life, or anybody else's, they're contained within the game. Insulting or swearing at me for making mistakes is insinuating that they deeply matter when the opposite is true.

In a professional training context being brutally honest is appropriate, but not between strangers in 1300 elo ranked solo queue.

Honestly most people don't watch streams to get better. The average league player isn't bothered about improving at all.

And to be fair, although I didn't like the way gtr phrased his 'rant', he obviously wouldn't have typed that if he was sober.

I don't really watch streams at all, but my only experience with guitar's stream was the vod he posted on the Mundo thread, and I found it pretty good, actually. He constantly kept talking (and not just random talk, he kept analyzing everything he did, and when he wasn't doing anything he'd look at his lanes and talk about what his team mates were doing and what they should do and whatever) and he sounded pretty well mannered throughout the whole thing, even when his team mates screwed up his jungle. If I had any interest in spending my free time watching other people play a game I could be playing myself, I'd probably watch his stream pretty often, since most famous high elo streamers I've watched either play bad music or keep rambling incoherent nonsense or just plain raging.

For me all gtr's stream is to me is a way to watching him not q as ww when he's full mana and half health, and to joke with him about it. Then he still doesn't do it. Sup.

Also, I didn't know people still watched Destiny lol. He has somewhat of a sense of humor sometimes, but other times he's Grackis - just a guy who's 20+ who rages like a pmsing 13 year old girl and isn't good but is "high ranked."

hey! i'm good looking! but thanks. i tend to withdraw and pout a bit when i'm having a bad game, i will work on taking that time to be MORE interactive so as to keep the stream entertaining.

truth. the best way to get better is to play the game more, as numbers always preaches. i guess i should make my stream more entertaining (without losing the analysis) and less tryhard :o

They just gave everyone a 10win ip boost. Quick question, how do they work? Do they boost the blue bar or the green bar or total in the result screen? I know it says right there but I would like to not waste a game.... I mean I think in dominion the blue bar is smaller, but not sure.

Do I get a bigger ip gain using the boost in dominion or in sr?

gtr, the most important thing about gathering stream popularity is to stream regularly and frequently. I see you posting in your thread about how you're streaming and then like an hour later you're already offline! I *want* to watch your stream but I never get the chance to just because you don't do it often enough :C
