Remember guys, this is the general discussion thread. Keep whine/QQ posts in the appropriate QQ memorial thread! Thanks! |
Right. Because if they'd said 'soon' then obviously it wouldn't be for a year at least.

Don't know if this is right place to ask this,
but which heroes counter Ziggs well? Only laned against him a few times and feel like a good Ziggs player has a ridiculously easy time zoning, especially bot lane with a support
|
Kassadin does a pretty good job, especially after 6 and having blue buff. Leblanc with her amazing burst can kill a Ziggs starting at level 3. Ahri too with her high mobility, you can weave in and out and dodge all his skills while melting him down

Shameless Viktor plug. Also, good ganks hurt Ziggs. I've found that he has a tough time escaping once someone is next to him.

All the classic high mobility casters are the direct counter (LB/Kass/Ahri), but anyone with good range and pushing ability can lane well against him (Galio/Viktor/cass etc.)

I hope the patch doesn't come out until next week, Riot really need to slow their releases down. Even though this patch is delayed because of bugs I hope Riot adopts a 3-4 week champ release schedule in the future.

cassiopeia bot scares more than anything else in the game.

But . . .but, I thought victor sucks and is a horrible champion and should never be picked! :O
Btw, do you smartcast victor laser?

I have no problems sharing Viktor's power with the members of TL. I may or may not, however, have gone into the LoL GD earlier today and upvoted false statements and downvoted true statements about him o.o
I do not smart cast it. I tried getting used to it, but I don't really like it. I can control the angles way more reliably without smart cast.

FTFY
But seriously, a well played Cass is terrifying in ways that make my jiggly bits scared. To be fair, a badly played Cass is nothing to be worried about, but skill goes a long way into making her a full on death machine.

That's the thing though. People miss her stuff all the time. But stupid cassiopeia bot lands all the skillshots perfectly and ults and kites you like a pro.
Yesterday I was playing a co-op vs ai for my first win of the day. We were doing baron, cass bot just walks in ults 3 people in the face and gets a quadra QQ.
|
lol why were you doing baron in a bot game? Just push all the towers then the bots get really confused about which lane to defend and just stand there jittering around
|
It's easy to juke cass bots prediction algorithm just by feinting forward into range and then backing up. Karthus and Annie bots are the OP ones.

Everyone should smartcast Viktor's lazer, as it is the only skill in the game where you dont actually lose any precision from smartcasting. When set to smart cast you can simply click and drag while holding down the key to display the targeting graphic, release to fire. The only change from non-smartcast to smartcast is you dont have to click the second time, which allows you to it it off faster if you need to, you can still get the range and graphic with smartcast for casting accurately. I hold down and make sure its lined up just right when clearing waves, then just use a flick motion to cast at champs in fights.
TLDR: Smartcast always on lazer, its better in every way.

Karthus/Cass/Annie bots are probably the scariest things. And maybe Fiddlesticks. That goddamn crowstorm always comes out of nowhere along with the entire team somehow.

If you're having trouble controlling the direction just hold down the key....like I said there is literally NO advantage to running it normal cast.

You already only click once when you regular cast the laser, you press E to to display the range, then you click once, drag, an release. With smartcast you hold E, drag it to indicate a direction, then release to fire. I found it very awkward, especially when I want to fire from max range while running (which is one of the main treats of the spell), and if I need to make sure about the direction of the spell on a moving target (ie other than just casting it directly on top of them, where I want the max range anyway) I'll wait half a second to confirm the trajectory anyway.
Doesn't help that the first time I tried it it made me miss a few times my lane opponent (who'd have died from my burst 30s later had he only taken a bit more damage), and then I get dived by their jungle who escaped with ~50hp at level 4 as I missed him with the laser as he plunged. I'm much more prone to whiffing with smartcast if I try to cast with a starting point near them, I feel. For comparison another spell that could give me a similar feel when smartcast is Orianna's Q, "unusual" range that it's even more important to anticipate since the travel time will depend on the ball location.

When I said click I just meant keystroke. Well, I guess whatever floats your boat. I just think its already slow enough to cast with the drag, hard to get a fast flash combo. I feel like a hit a huge amount of just reflex movement prediction lazers in lane.
The only other problem with Viktor is the very occasional glitch with the lazer, sometimes it goes directly through people and does no damage, and sometimes it gets stuck at the start point and never moves. Only happens like every 10 games but its pretty annoying.
