Personally I think LoL is a bit borderline about it. In Lol there aren´t any activly "ugly" girls (example: female mundo). There are certainly champions that are activly sexy/flirty as part of the character (MS. Fortune, Evelynn, Caitlyn...) but on the other side these champions aren´t primarly defined by their sex. LoL also doesn´t offer fanservice skins like Hon does via bikini genderswap skins (Just check "Blitz" and his alternative skin right now!). The vast majority of Lolskins stays true to the character of the original with certain twists, Rivens is sexy true but it´s also a joke on the fact that she spends the fight constantly hopping and dashing. Counterpoint: It could have been a full suit like Teemos easter skin. How do you think about the issue? | ||

It's not realistic! Even fighters aren't built like that. We need to protest for mens rights. | ||

And Sona, who exemplifes the heritage of traditional gender roles in a modern society. I don't get the impression that they're actively attempting or dissuading fanservice in general; if it'll make a good skin, then why the hell not. And if it doesn't, then Riot will avoid it. Lux's initial look was really.... cheerleaderish. Then they changed into something respectable after they realized it didn't really fit. Obviously some skins are just pure fanservice (French Maid Nidalee) but by no means are they a significant percentage. And if it makes a skin work on more than one level, then why not. Counterpoint: It could have been a full suit like Teemos easter skin. But that makes the skin a lot less fitting just for the sake of making it platonic. | ||
