Remember guys, this is the general discussion thread. Keep whine/QQ posts in the appropriate QQ memorial thread! Thanks! |
Btw nice to see that this tournament got a good viewer count for once.
Normally it is like 20 k viewers on a player stream and 500 viewers on the caster stream. But even when casting TSM there were more viewers on caster stream than on TSM stream.
No idea why it was different this time though. LoL viewer numbers often seem kinda random.

wow you're right. i want every lol stream to have this quality.

owned runs so much better on my shitty laptop on high qualities than twitch....it's crazy. But I wish I knew the resolution because I dont want to use too much bandwidth on best.

TSM playing well overall. Though regi just blew flash, ignite, and ult trying to kill mundo pushing top. Yeah, still think he sucks. Still playing pretty well as a team this game.
Then at the end regi throws out a, "lolpro.com BRO" I really need to stop watching TSM cause I have never disliked a pro gamer as much as I dislike regi. He is truly an ass and not even that good. Ok, done. Won't spam regi hate any more.

was using like 1.8mbs of bandwidth watching that lol

To be fair, Curse did clear out a ward preminion spawn and went "lolpro.com pro ward clearing strats" or something like that. Tit for tat.

tournaments really need to enforce no chatting in games besides gg/pause
|
Yeah both teams have been throwing out advertising to their own sites for the past two games now so much so they're just advertising for each other now. While Regi advertising for lolpro.com might be seen as a backhanded remark I'm pretty sure CRS did the same thing right after advertising for solomid.net

Yeah god forbid people write shit ingame, real terror...

To be fair we had the incident where M5 took what Mono had to say as an insult and then started to curse at Mono when someone said "lol" which M5 took as a backhanded remark. It probably won't be the last incident where insults are thrown at each other and is a valid reason to ban chatting during games. Someone makes a joke, someone else is offended. Or to cut out the random chat that Dyrus does that makes the games seem less professional.
I don't think Western tournaments are concerned with this like Korean tournaments are so it will take another one or more big incidents for rules to be put in place. I mean heck it's kind of crazy that Koreans will punish players for swearing in their own team speak, though only because they will let the audience hear what they're saying at times.

Dyrus random chat during games increases the entertainment value for me, I wouldn't want that to go. If people get offended, let them. Everyone is just offended all the time today (see the thread about being offended here on TL).
I understand that koreans want to have everyone super mannered, they have different social codes and stuff like that. But I really do not mind some hate, some trashtalk, between the teams. Professional sports have it all the time. If everyone is just silent except for "GLHF" and "GG", you never see the rivalries. And these rivalries will exist between teams and players on or off camera, restricting what they can write in game doesn't change it the slightest.
If the tournaments want to let their viewers listen to the teamspeak, players should try to stay somewhat civilized, I can agree on that. No one wants to hear "Oh fuck dude i'm dead, I fucking died dude" from regi... But in general, imo, let them joke around and taunt eachother ingame, I love it.

Dyrus' random chat wasn't my main point, nobody is offended by Dyrus just random chat makes a tournament seem less professional. If you followed the M5 vs MonoEsports drama you would know what I'm talking about and how people can be offended. Random chat could lead to this a similar M5 vs Mono situation, but it by itself is not a big problem. http://i.imgur.com/b2pHa.png

And it wasn't my main point either... People IN GENERAL are offended way too easily. If M5 want to be "offended" by a "LOL" in chat, I say just let them. Far worse taunts (or whatever you want to call it) are said every single game of pretty much every single professional sport.
I don't care if M5 are so insecure that they need to rage because someone said LOL in chat. People should be allowed to chat. Rivalries and trashtalk should exist. That's my opinion.
|
Why do you think Regi should keep it clean for tournaments not wanting him to use "fuck" in his own team speak but are ok with players trash talking? So far most teams do not trash talk anyways and it is just friendly joking.
However joking for example laughing at weird play can piss people off in a high stakes game. If Western tournament manage to avoid raging that's great I love friendly chat however I can understand if tournaments want to ban chat to avoid another situation like M5. This is more than just for your own entertainment tournaments have sponsors and need to be professional, banning chat to avoid rage, but missing potentially funny jokes should be no big deal to them.

M5 probably already was mad because they played at like 500 ping and lost to a far worse team. Then they just vented their frustration due to that.
