EVERYONE SHOULD GET A'S. HOTSHOTGG SHOULD GET A LIMO EVERY TIME HE STREAMS. IF YOU'RE GONNA FEATURE SHUSHEI YOU SHOULD FEATURE SMASH GIZMO. EVERYONE SHOULD WIN WCG OH MY GOD RIOT YOU SUUUUUUUUUUUUCK yo, heads up, that's not how the real world works. walk into the liquor store i work at. first thing you're going to see is a huge display of Jameson irish whiskey. why? because it fucking sells. is it better than say macallan scotch? better than stranahan's? better than jack daniel's gentleman? maybe, maybe not. but it's extremely popular. people pick it up and head straight to the register, and it has a great margin. boom jameson just made us money. it's staying in the middle of the store. do you think we would put a whiskey in the front display that had a label that said "THIS LIQUOR STORE BLOWS ASS AND IF YOU DRINK ME YOU'RE A FUCKING PUSSY," even if it was delicious as hell??? so why do you think riot would want to spotlight the LoL equivalent? if you don't want to watch his stream, don't if you don't want OTHER people to watch his stream, stop talking about it if you want a rage-free alternative, watch my stream or loci's stream and stop bitching you are the reason that people hate conservatives this is unironically one of the best posts gtr has ever made.

I actually got fucked as vlad but it might be just dying once and the lane snowballing. I actually figured out if you move faster you can just kite him with Q's all day though. The problem is R + Q bringing you into his E activation then you're royally screwed.

Good to know. I just dislike this policy because it doesnt respect people who built an audience in a way that riot doesnt "approve" of. Solomid and HSGG built lol streaming, yet they will not, in all likelyhood, be rewarded because they tend to rage and swear. In fact, riot is actually PUNISHING them. Now, is it possible that some people go watch sushei, decide his stream is boring and find someone else to watch? Sure. But its just as likely that people will only stick to riot sponsored streams because of the fact that they are riot sponsored, thereby destroying the audiences that other streamers built.

*The following message comes from someone who usually watches CLG and TSM streams.* I have rarely watched Shushei's stream. I have heard of his good reputation though, and you know what? That's awesome. Good for him. RIOT has chosen to commend him for it, as I believe they should. RIOT wants to be seen as an upstanding company from outside viewers. They have a player on a team that won the S1 championship who has a very manner stream. They want to publicize this. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this. Life isn't fair, never has been, never will be. I think it's astounding and in fact quite sad how many people are looking down on RIOT featuring a good role model. HSGG isn't gonna die from a couple days of only 10k viewers. @Loci: I do like watching your stream. I hope you keep at it. If I ever get higher elo (~1800) I want to stream more. You are a quality player with a good personality, and people do like watching that type of streamer. Unfortunately you're like a mom'n'pop store competing with Walmart right now, but that doesn't mean you're not appreciated.

I think this follows the assumption that hotshot will lose followers if RIOT supports another streamer. I think a vast majority of the players that were watching streams before doesn't give a damn which streamer RIOT promotes and instead will watch what they like (and have most likely already seen plenty of both shushei and hotshot and have made up their minds). Of course, if you just pick the stream with the most viewers you end up picking shushei so there is a little loss but I believe this is short term only. What follows is that this infuses the streaming community with more total viewers. Of course, to one player at first. I figure the odds of some, or many of those viewers branching out isn't so bad, benefiting even non featured streamers in the long run.

You have yet to actually give a reason as for why this doesnt harm other streamers, or why this is in any way equitable. Streaming is a job. Its how HS makes his living. Its how TSM is able to afford their house. Hell, its how most teams, which to this point are unsponsored, are able to attend events. Look, I have no problem with riot coming out with an announcement that says: "Hey look at all the league content on livestreaming sites! You can see members of teams like CLG, TSM, EG, FNATIC, Dignitas, SK, AL and many more!" That way you call attention to livestreams, which is what riots main goal is, without actually specifying that THESE are the people you should watch and these ones arent.

in regards to all the QQing, the top streamers don't need this spotlight, but it's just the community that wants their heroes to get recognition in a very high form.

So in your world it is illegal to spread advertisement for a product because that's stealing consumers from manufacturers that produce a similar product?
