Seriously though, why is the stereotypical LoL pro behavior so accepted? Why isn't it in SC2? Obviously there are some bm SC2 streamers that get a lot of viewers but I'd say they are the minority especially compared to LoL. In SC2 people say someone is a "ragequitter" or "bm" if they don't gg before a leaving a game...

It's not out of line at all, thank you for the feedback. This is exactly it. Let's start a movement for Loci, next spotlighted streamer. He just has to start streaming again ![]()

To me they behave and speak borderline retarded (saintvicious and reginald come to my mind) and are definately not the gamers id want to watch on a stream. I guess we are just spoiled by the quality of SC2 streams...

what is this 8 straight pages about bitching about something that affects absolutely none of you? who gives a fuck if riot featured sushei as a streamer i have only heard good things about him, EVER sometimes the only feeling i get when i read this forum is that you're all a bunch of b-students who are jealous of the kids that get A's. EVERYONE SHOULD GET A'S. HOTSHOTGG SHOULD GET A LIMO EVERY TIME HE STREAMS. IF YOU'RE GONNA FEATURE SHUSHEI YOU SHOULD FEATURE SMASH GIZMO. EVERYONE SHOULD WIN WCG OH MY GOD RIOT YOU SUUUUUUUUUUUUCK yo, heads up, that's not how the real world works. walk into the liquor store i work at. first thing you're going to see is a huge display of Jameson irish whiskey. why? because it fucking sells. is it better than say macallan scotch? better than stranahan's? better than jack daniel's gentleman? maybe, maybe not. but it's extremely popular. people pick it up and head straight to the register, and it has a great margin. boom jameson just made us money. it's staying in the middle of the store. do you think we would put a whiskey in the front display that had a label that said "THIS LIQUOR STORE BLOWS ASS AND IF YOU DRINK ME YOU'RE A FUCKING PUSSY," even if it was delicious as hell??? so why do you think riot would want to spotlight the LoL equivalent? if you don't want to watch his stream, don't if you don't want OTHER people to watch his stream, stop talking about it if you want a rage-free alternative, watch my stream or loci's stream and stop bitching On December 03 2011 01:54 Two_DoWn wrote: Right now HSGG is at 7k, and sushei is at 18k. TRY to tell me that this policy isnt negatively affecting other streamers. you are the reason that people hate conservatives

Ya I think the SC2 phenomena is a carryover from the BW days. If you watched korean BW, you got used to the idea that a game ended with GG, and that there was no banter or insults between players (at least not after kespa changed the rule). Of course, we have seen banter pick up a bit with no anti talk rule in sc2, but the tradition of GG remained. Of course, we still see GG at the end of games of lol, at all levels including the top. But lol is a much longer game, and requires much less actual concentration and apm, so you are free to chat opponents and teammates up practically the entire game. It also has to do with the simple fact that no matter how good you are, you rely on 4 members of your team being anything above complete idiots to win. And that gets frustrating for good players. Do you really think that Idra would be able to play SC2 in a 2v2 format, let alone 5v5?

Whenever I check one of the socalled bm streams they actually behave better than 80% of the people that don't play games, if it bothers you just don't watch them. It's better than being bm because you choose to play a game and not bother typing 2 letters which half the community most likely doesn't even understand the meaning off.

In SC2 people say someone is a "ragequitter" or "bm" if they don't gg before a leaving a game... I think it has something to do with its mostly a western sport (just like CS was), and its a 5 man team where you can prove to be better than your allies (means you will have huge egos playing). When you 1v1, you can be better only than your enemy, and you wont shittalk just for the sake of it, but if you have teammates to blame, thats another matter. And also, as i said, western culture is much more forgiving about being disrespectful in tone afaik. SC2 has these raging kids too, but the top players mostly have some BW experience, or if not, they will very soon adapt into the other pros who do.

The 7k figure quoted earlier must have been because he had just started his stream up. Considering he had a couple thousand while he was afk and sleeping, I think he can spare some viewers.

Hotshot has like 10k viewers while drawing crap in paint or just has a notepad up saying he's afk with over 10k viewers, literally makes money sleeping.

Yes pretty much Also the fact that you just said 'stolen' in the context of a digital and intangible quantity And the fact that you think that someone (who is playing a game, mind you) is being negatively impacted by only making like $1000/hr instead of $1075/hr or whatever 1000 viewers would make You're just do disillusioned and frankly stupid

EU streams are much more profesional btw, might be because these guys actually wear sponsors colors and are forced to behave (witch is a good thing)
