I dunno.... from a purely mathematical point of view, the support should take all the cs at the beginning of the game so that he can stack all three gold per five items right away and then utilize that gold advantage for the team via wards.

At least such is the way for your team to technically obtain the most "gold", though of course there are many problems with this

Soraka is still a bitch because of her heal but if you can line up to magic damage you completely circumvent her "clutch" heal so you can counterpick her that way anyways.

Yeah you completely circumvent the armor from her heal but then have to deal with her passive...which is still less effective than the armor at least.

So your saying any disruption/heavy CC lane or AP + anyone basically?

I suppose two of my favorite duo lanes with my brother would also work, blitz sion and blitz heimer.

Jarman + Pantheon #1 bot lane IMHO. So many spears, so much testosterone. The other lane never stands a chance.

Yeah, my entire point last page was that it doesn't matter what champions you stick in the lane or what they do, it's still better to stick farm on only one of them until later in the game. Even if neither champ actually requires much farm.

Hence, "support" is not strictly Janna utility champions, "support" is simply whichever champion decides to go 0 CS, because that decision is inevitable unless you can guarantee picking off the carry with jungle ganks or during teamfights.

Yeah the list is endless really. Annie + Brand for instance is pretty fucking stupid. Soraka's passive isn't enough to be honest. Really the bitchiness about Soraka was and still is that they can sit back for a while and heal up, but they nerfed that (thank god) by increasing her CD so it "takes more effort" for them to do it, which is enough.

Basically think back to like 4 months ago when people ran all manners of bullshit double stun/double nuke combos at bottom. All of those work just fine now, especially as most support heroes got their sustain axed.

I actually think at this point Sion is a perfectly acceptable aurabot for support. Less survivability when compared to cow, but if the game goes on long enough to where he can get a cap, thats a lot of hurt for 0 farm.

And one more thing that Riot has gotten away from in their quest to make everything scale: champions who just have good base damages and dont need all that much farm. Old annie was the closest we got to this- good base damage, really only needed a ROA for survivability, and scaled back late game. Now she has the same power curve as every other ap champ and needs as much farm. Kinda stupid imo.

But dont get me started about champ level/power curves. It PAINS me when I think about how homogenized some champs are starting to get in terms of power curves.
