Holy hell, I just realized that most of the time when people do stupid stuff they don't mean it. It's so hard to believe that the feeding Ryze who overextends is actually a good player who's having a bad day. Ugh, I find that the hardest thing in this game is staying calm at your teammates.
On the other hand, I occasionally watch HSGG's stream and it's retarded how unforgiving he is to his teammates even when they make minor mistakes. Like yesterday he was yelling at his amumu who got counterjungled at blue and died there when the whole fucking reason was that his Urgot was chilling in mid with him watching a video instead of paying attention to the game.
People need to be friendly.

I agree fully. I played alot of HoN during beta and early release and the #1 determining factor in most games is team synergy. Bitching, moaning, complaining, and pointing out mistakes over and over just puts people on tilt, and synergy flies straight out the window. Negativity can ruin games. Normally if I make a bad decision, I realize it quickly afterward, normally facepalming myself if it was that bad. I don't need some douchebag calling me a noob for the next 15 minutes.
Also, during my DotA/HoN/LoL playtime, I've seen over 20 deaths easily contributed to somebody typing insults to another player instead of paying attention. I just do not see the point.

usually admitting when i fuck up diffuses most of that, just say something along the lines of 'my bad, i screwed the pooch on that one' usually causes most ppl to forgive you, altho theres the occasional asshole who will flame you regardless of the situation, but i just /ignore those whores

Also wtf why is Wickd so bad, in ranked 5s he lost it for his team when he went to push first bottom turret, let them win baron, and then proceeded to never B to help his ressing allies defend the nexus turrets. As if his ECA was all his team needed of him during a team fight. He's purely a support player =/ He can't play other roles.
Erm.. Wickd became famous as a Yi player, and most groups of champions don't have Yi in the support column. Also Locket Irelia OP.

I quit HoN shortly before release because the negative/harsh atmosphere just became unbearable for me. It was way worse than in DotA (mostly because of rating and k/d ratio and stuff suddenly becoming an issue).
As someone who played both DotA and HoN, I must say the LoL community is actually pretty friendly in general in comparison. Probably because a) there are normal games where stats/ranking isn't tracked and b) extremly huge jerks will eventually get banned and c) there is a surrender button and even if you loose you get IP and thus a feeling of accomplishment.

From what I've seen, Wickd can't play anything. I have no idea how he got up there. Honestly, I cannot understand it.

I don't want to start a flame war here, but pubs are pubs, they flame you regardless of games. If anything it's about the people you hang out with, like LP and this subforum.
I think having in-game voice adds a lot to the negative feeling, but that has its uses too.

Still one game can have slightly better pubs than the other

So I sneaked a game before work (morning time) and, as expected, had revive teleport karthus in my team.
Always die never kill ;;

Nah, LoL publics are way more relaxed than HoN ones. HoN players are just way more agressive and angry in general.
