As Cyberfight.ru reports:
Team Russia got in a fight with team france at the WCG. No mention of Elky. Azpeak however was the alleged instigator. Azpeak los his cell phone, and was looking around for it in the hotel. Apparently he thought the russians stole it and some shit talking ensued. Under (russian fps player) then swore at azpeak in russian, azpeak turned out to have a russian mother and knew what it meant. Under gets a kick in the face. Under runs to team russia HQ and gets 8 drunk russians. Russians break team france's hotel room door in, and beat ppl up. In the end 4 ppl required medical assitance (the french of course) and 2 french reporters were hurt as well.
Biggest high of all WCG's combined for me.
This ALL taken from 1st hand report at cyberfight.ru.
PS. the fight was stopped by player village staff who saw the happening on camera. Team russia is in deep shit.
I wonder if soul was involved :D

That's not correct. Only 2 russian players know English, so Azzpeak  talked some shit they didn't listen him(They talked with each other, Azpeak know some russian's words, but don't know russian. He desided that that they are talking to him & kicked one of the russian team members who was sitting on the floor)....

I can tell all of you guys that this is untrue If I look all around me I see a lot of french gamers and russian gamers together and if something like that would have happened, the team leader of each country would have give advice to their players.

This is just cute. I reckon that is a good insight into different nations psychologies.

Aspeak, no matter how he felt after losing his mobile, was in no position to physically assault the Russian, he could've shouted back or sth ;\ The Russians going in and beating up the _entire_ French team (remember only Aspeak was involved) sounds to me like a scene from a gangster movie and not something that would happen at a Cybersports event. If I were to judge who did more bad thinks, it'd definitely be the Russians - Under could have just hit Aspeak back in response (he had like 3 friends there, Aspeak was alone?) instead of "going for reinforcements" (so pathetic...).
P.S. If the Russians actually had ANYTHING to do with Aspeak's mobile phone being stolen, it would be a one-sided affair then, but I simply refuse to believe something like that could be the case...

Omg, this is absolutely not true. After Aspeak did hit Under the last one hits back. And there was the start of fight. Under DID NOT RUN AWAY. There were the wall on wall fight where french members got kicked and ran for the help. Russians did the same. That's all.

I don't know which site it comes from, I picked it on a French forum.
"Hi Everyone,
I was the guy from the press. I'll just tell you what I saw. Around AM, I came back from club with some french players and we saw around 15 players all together on the 11th floor (which contains Russia, France and Austria for example). Everybody was drunk but really cool.
There has even been a joke on a Netherland FIFA player who got naked by othes guys, everybody was like laughing, even the FIFA guy.
After a few minutes, I left them i order to go and see some french players in a room. After 30 minutes, I heard for some noise against the walls, but it was like every nights...
Then I heard bad words in english... Came out from the room and saw Aspeak and the Russian guy in a close combat position, no one could separe them, even by trying.
Then the situation became critical as a lot of people were drunk, evereybody was guilty at that moment. We tried to calm down the situation but the guy fighting with aspeak just run away (after he got some more punches from the french) and started to knock on the door of all russian guys, yelling some russian thing. I told the french players to calm down and stay in the room and got back in the one I was with the CS guys...
Then I heard some other noises and get out. The only thing I saw was a guy with red eyes, bleeding noise and a big flat wooden stick (used to carry clothes in a cupboard). He asked me "you french?" and I answer - fool I am "yes". He just hited me on the arm I raised to protect my face. Whereas I was shocked, I sreamed to him "stop hitting are you crazy? I'm a press guy!". But the guy was drunk and began to prepare another strike. I was trully frightened at that moment.
I can take a photo, but I got traces from the hit on my arm.
At the same time, [aT]Th0r^ got out fromhis room and saw the situation. He called the guy who recognized him immediatly as Th0r^ was also involved in the fight at the beginning. 3 other russian guys arrived and began to block Th0r's arms. A fourth one came to me and told me softly "go sleep". I was astonished, I felt like they wanted to kill Aspek and Th0r ! As I refused to move and tried to help Th0r^, the guy pushed me away (quit gently, thanks) and repeated "go sleep, close the door, Russia's gonna kill France". Words by words, I swear. I know that everybody except me quit drunk and badly excited but at that moment, I had deadly thoughs... And at that moment, Th0r^ and Aspeak understood that they were in a serious trouble.
Th0r^ suddenly escaped his opponents and locked his room, with Aspeak and Mat Logan (the young Halo Player who had to sleep because he was in Grand Final). So the Russian guys began to look for french guy. At a moment, I heard less nois so I opened my door and saw a Russian guy knocking on French AOM player. He opened and the Russian asked "are you french?" and the guy -as fool as me - answered "yes?". The russian guy kicked him in the stomach. But the french managed to evade a little bit and lock his door after a little fight.
Then, the russian began to hit badly Aspeak and Th0r door. I don't know if someone has pictures of it, but the locker was justed CRUSHED, they kept on kicking and hitting with the wooden flat stick for at least 10 minutes. "Open the door Aspeak, we just want to speak". Erk.
As we were all locke in rooms, I called the reception and asked them to send security. Then I called the other rooms to wake up the french guy cos at that moment, I must admit that I was preparing myself for a fucking mayhem. I was really affraid for the guys. I don't care who began or who insulted first. I was juat about to fight.
But suddenly, the noises stopped and everything became quite calm. The security and Steven from ICM were finally here. They talked first with the Russians, while the french were talking together. Then I went to the 12th floor to wake up Maraboo, the French Team Leader and asked him to wake up the Russian Team Leader. They came to the 11th floor and talked to ICM and the security. From the Security tape, insults began from both sides but Aspeak hit the first. he admitted it to the ICM guy. But the video also showed the wooden stick case. Then Aspeak and Th0r asked both to sleep elsewhere to get security (their door was like a saloon double door).
From that moment, none other aggression was made between the two countries. At the moment, the 2 nations are duscussing and trying apologize to each other.
To conclude, I won't accuse Russia for being responsible of everything . Imho, trouble comes from everywhere when people are drunk. I'm just sorry that it became so violent. We have avoided something trully dramatic. I haven't seen all but it's easy to conclude that both Russia and France behave very bad.

I'm a press guy!". But the guy was drunk and began to prepare another strike. I was trully frightened at that moment.
I can take a photo, but I got traces from the hit on my arm.
At the same time, [aT]Th0r^ got out fromhis room and saw the situation. He called the guy who recognized him immediatly as Th0r^ was also involved in the fight at the beginning. 3 other russian guys arrived and began to block Th0r's arms. A fourth one came to me and told me softly "go sleep". I was astonished, I felt like they wanted to kill Aspek and Th0r ! As I refused to move and tried to help Th0r^, the guy pushed me away (quit gently, thanks) and repeated "go sleep, close the door, Russia's gonna kill France". Words by words, I swear. I know that everybody except me quit drunk and badly excited but at that moment, I had deadly thoughs... And at that moment, Th0r^ and Aspeak understood that they were in a serious trouble.
Th0r^ suddenly escaped his opponents and locked his room, with Aspeak and Mat Logan (the young Halo Player who had to sleep because he was in Grand Final). So the Russian guys began to look for french guy. At a moment, I heard less nois so I opened my door and saw a Russian guy knocking on French AOM player. He opened and the Russian asked "are you french?" and the guy -as fool as me - answered "yes?". The russian guy kicked him in the stomach. But the french managed to evade a little bit and lock his door after a little fight.
Then, the russian began to hit badly Aspeak and Th0r door. I don't know if someone has pictures of it, but the locker was justed CRUSHED, they kept on kicking and hitting with the wooden flat stick for at least 10 minutes. "Open the door Aspeak, we just want to speak". Erk.
As we were all locke in rooms, I called the reception and asked them to send security. Then I called the other rooms to wake up the french guy cos at that moment, I must admit that I was preparing myself for a fucking mayhem. I was really affraid for the guys. I don't care who began or who insulted first. I was juat about to fight.
But suddenly, the noises stopped and everything became quite calm. The security and Steven from ICM were finally here. They talked first with the Russians, while the french were talking together. Then I went to the 12th floor to wake up Maraboo, the French Team Leader and asked him to wake up the Russian Team Leader. They came to the 11th floor and talked to ICM and the security. From the Security tape, insults began from both sides but Aspeak hit the first. he admitted it to the ICM guy. But the video also showed the wooden stick case. Then Aspeak and Th0r asked both to sleep elsewhere to get security (their door was like a saloon double door).
From that moment, none other aggression was made between the two countries. At the moment, the 2 nations are duscussing and trying apologize to each other.
To conclude, I won't accuse Russia for being responsible of everything . Imho, trouble comes from everywhere when people are drunk. I'm just sorry that it became so violent. We have avoided something trully dramatic. I haven't seen all but it's easy to conclude that both Russia and France behave very bad.

I can't explain it. I met Aspeak in wcg 2002 qualifications and I didn't appreciated him much (he acted bad manner when I met him though).
I won't try to defend Aspeak, it's not the first time he hit a guy (he hit E-toile)vampyr at a lan event last summer) and it's not the first time much of French community blame him for it.
But why I really don't understand is that almost everyone blamed the whole team France since Aspeak is the only one who acted badly.

This is how it all happened...

Under washed his face and went back to his room and got a radiator cage (editor: a popular fighting utensil in russia), he then went to forze's room (russian fps clan) and got some russians. While the french hid all in their locked room. We got there and tried to break the door for 5 mins, but the security came. Next morning 4 french went to get medical assistance. And azpeak was seen crying hysterically saying he is afraid to live there. Not that Under who was probably the most hurt refused medical assistance.

I don't really blame the Russians for any of that, based on what I've seen here. I mean they probably did overreact once they got more people or whatever, but in the heat of things, you do what you have to do. And it doesn't sound like Aspeak had any intention of shutting up or leaving them alone, and with people like that, sometimes you have to MAKE them shut up, no matter how brutal it can get.
I say slap Aspeak with some sort of fine or whatever, and leave everyone else out of it.

From what I have heard, both sides are at fault, but I greatly despise those that beat up people that did not do anything bad to them, aside from maybe standing to their friend(Well, I don't know the entire truth, but that's what it seems like). It appears to me that Aspeak deserved to get his anus turned inside out, but his friends didn't. If the French guys stood by him, I don't blame them, I mean, would you usually say "ok, go ahead, beat up my friend" even when you know he is wrong?

I know very well why aspeak is not in jail.
The reason is, the ONLY guy who was really damaged is Under (damn good for his nose that it was ALMOST broken, not BROKEN)
now, there were 6 russians and 7 french guys.
Aspeak made his "history kick", the mass-fight lasted for about 15(!!) seconds, and after that french team is very well locked in their rooms, while russians get their friends and go there.
They really have broken the lock, but security came and told them to go to their rooms (and damn good for aspeak, i think he would not be able to walk if russians would break in)
And now the funniest thing:
French team goes to medics, register some scratches and some bruises and yell "damn, they have us beaten!"
Under wash his face, stops the blood and goes to sleep. No medical assistance needed - it is just a usual fight, nothing more.
And the officials got 4 guys yelling and crying for their asses beaten, their words proven by medics, and some russian stories about Under's bloody face. Who do you think they believe more?

PS Now it would be wise for aspeak to hire bodygards for all events involving russians. I don't know about the others, but this guy have really deserved the beating.
