eSport Journalism isn't solely about attention but we grow intellectually with it.

Interpersonal Intelligence

- They tend to be good at reading people's feelings and getting along very well with people. They feel comfortable in social situations, enjoy speaking in public and are usually recognized as diplomats.

Confidence is being developed and appropriate methods which a corresponding journalist could possibly use at covering live events, interviews, orations and negotiations.

Linguistic Intelligence

- They're good with words, either in a spoken or written form. Typically they're good in reading, writing, and learning foreign languages. They learn best by reading about something and taking notes, and are usually very good at explaining something clearly to other people.

It's the heart and soul of journalism, it hones the skill on expressing with the fundamentals and advanced techniques of writing.

Logical-Mathematical Intelligence

- These people are good at analyzing information and working with numbers. They are also good at investigating and then formulating conclusions upon logical thinking.

It stimulates the brain in breaking down informations and making inferences which a journalist could use for a better insight.

Intrapersonal Intelligence

- They tend to be deep thinkers and are usually very self aware of who they are and their emotions. They are also perfectionists.

In-depth analysis is being sharpened, comprehension and understanding in accord with cognition are being forged.

eSport Journalism has made it far beyond the casual perception. It varies a lot in several ways that could enrich our whole being. In addition it's a form of media where we inform the world with open arms about what's going on in our respective genre. May the mankind be enlightened with the significance of eSport Journalism and the perks that a journalist could lucratively achieve.

I share you feelings about eSports journalism and would like to briefly delve into a discussion about Social Engineers and Homogenous Surrogacy.

Perseverance
Circus social engineers are very observant of their surroundings and capable of adapting to new social situations when they approach. They also have strong analytical skills coupled with fierce logical and linguistic abilities.

Leadership
The hippopotamus is one mammal that exemplifies keen intersocial behavior within the animal kingdom. Often looked to as a spiritual mentor, the hippopotamus always puts his supporters before himself, and bares the burdens of appeasing them.

Custodial Guardianship
The pregnant mother may not be the most peak physical specimen but she more than makes up with it with her aura of love. Homogenous surrogacy is one deed that may not only cause emotional strain but shows a true sign of faith.

It could be obvious but I think it would be a good refresher or anything that could give significance in writing, it may be simple but i guess it wouldn't hurt.

Journalism for e-sports won't get past where it is now until games get to the same level as real sports. There's very little money in it, and therefore, no incentive for pro journalists to cover it. I think korea has one magazine that covers it, but that's it. And even there, e-sports is something like what the WWF is in the states. People know what it is, but it isn't main stream.

edit: that hippo looks mad, haha

Maybe in StarCraft II? But I think even without big time money, eSport journalism expresses love for the "game" which is odd for the whole world to embrace but will still be fun yet educational.

Oakhill: HAHAHAHHAA

ya these threads are kinda meaningless. you don't seem to have anything substantial to say about esports journalism... like how we can coax better trained writers into the field.

e-sports journalism and journalism in general are not about writing ability. Obviously it's a big plus, but the heart and soul of journalism is having balls and talking to people. Any blogger can write analysis (whether it's correct or not), but the journalist goes out to find and report stories. It's a lot harder than it seems at first.

That exists a bit in esports, but it's obviously more difficult at TL or GG because most SC news is taking place thousands of miles away from us.

I believe its not meaningless.. For a genius like you it could be, but for those who are just about to start to have interest in eSport Journalism, they could be incite by the simple things that the profession can provide or it could serve as pointers to those who devalue the intellectual aspect of the mentioned subject.

Oakhill you are a mean man.

LurkerDesu, you obviously put quite a bit of effort into these pieces but the writing style is quite odd so its hard to understand what you're saying and where you're going. Your vocabulary is great too but many sentences feel like they've had a thesaurus force fed into them.

Also, while many of us (your target audience) have a very strong interest in esports, I'm not sure many of us have a strong interest in an abstract analysis of esports journalism as a category of journalism. How about writing a piece on an esports topic like a game/player/league/whatever? (Perhaps in a blog because it's a bit weird for this to be in the General Forum).

I am not a journalist/writer myself and I have pretty crap prose skills so feel free to ignore the above.

i agree w/ everything in the article, i'm just saying you should provide some studies and stuff like that so a non gamer would actually see what you're saying.

The context isn't that intricate, its simply narrated. It serves as a reminder, where if we come across a hospital, we all know that its a hospital zone and for the fact that there is a hospital but the hospital sign is still visible at street. WHY? because it doesn't intend to underestimate your intelligence, but for the bare reason that reminders wouldn't hurt.
