This might seem like a decent number to the average American, but the price for this connection is ridiculously high compared to almost any foreign post on this thread. I'm not even happy with this connection, even when it's the fastest home service offered. Sometimes I'll completely lose internet for a full 10-12 seconds, then it's perfectly fine.

I understand your issues because in the past I have worked for that ISP of yours. Also live on the west coast of Florida near Tampa so I do have the same ISP. That is the Roadrunner Lighting service you got there. The network is fine on the software end of things for the most part. It is just the hardware they install is absolute crap for the most part and needs some serious revamping.

university internet, awesome as always (when its up). EDIT: got back home Not too bad. Lacking in the upload department though - not liking the prospects of trying to stream.

Love my net and also love the fact that it's unlimited, I pay a lot more money than I should for that kind of connection though... But hey, that's the NA telecom situation...

How much do you pay for internet? Mine is $54 monthly for a supposed 18/2 connection with I only get around 1-4/1.2 for on average on speedtest. Should I be asking my ISP(Cox) about it or is that normal?

Recently upgraded. They say the upload is limited at the moment and will be made higher soon. They are also pushing it up to 120mb/s in oct for no extra cost ;D Pretty sure best home internet can get in UK? Virgin media really on their game now.

Virgin Media royally fucked me back in the day when they just took over NTL charging me £90 while I received no channels then threatened to sue for me deciding not to pay. But I must admit they are doing their best to take over and are doing a decent job of it.
