If this isn't a good reason to use a military, what is? Is there any situation where the US military should be used? I'm honestly curious what people think. You're basically advocating for WW3. There's no way the US gets involved with Putin with his hands on the red button. It just isn't happening so look for another solution where the US isn't involved. The only military going to fight will be Ukraine and other EU nations. The US will not go to war with an unstable Russian regime. Get that out of your head Mohdoo.

Ukraine is not part of NATO and is not officially a US ally. Not that ever stopped US from interfering with anything, but surely you can recognise when things are a bit different when it comes to nuclear powers.

It's not just ridiculous propaganda from Kremlin that since the Orange revolution there was a strong push against Russian-language minorities in Ukraine. That does not justify a fucking invasion obviously, but writing anything remotely negative about Ukraine off as 'Kremlin propaganda' is honestly stupid.

I see March 2nd being floated as a "semi-confirmed" date. Although the last ones started only like two days after they were originally agreed to be started on, so that's preliminary at best. All signs are that getting both sides actually into the talks and not balking at the concept is like pulling teeth.

the issue isn't if 1, 10 or 1000 people died. The issue is the use of large scale weapons in civilian area's.

As an 11 year old where the TV was taken out of the storage cabinet and we watched in horror on 9/11, the event itself is the story. It’s two buildings of huge symbolism collapsing in the world’s pre-eminent power, in real time.
As here I don’t think that appetite diminishes or increases with casualty tolls. The story is Russia engaging in an invasion of Ukraine.
We’re a tad spoiled these days and expect instant, accurate information from even the most chaotic places, it’s just not a realistic expectation

Yeah, it is pretty disorienting trying to follow all the different reports, and not knowing which are accurate or not. We already lived in a climate of lies but in a war like this we can expect a lot of honest mistakes and confusion. This does feel a lot like 9/11.
