Seriously? She annoys you most of the time? Oh, she is awesome in many ways and her achievements are remarkable. I also think she fights the good fight, and most certainly the right way. Her persona really does get on my nerves though. Does that make me a bad person? Honestly, there are few things I find more pathetic than adults who are annoyed by Greta Thunberg. Genuinely very surprised to see you in that group. The fuck? She absolutely is annoying. That's not judging her ideas. In fact, the very idea that adults who're generally easier annoyed at younger people somehow are pathetic because it's Thunberg is absolutely idiotic. Not really sorry you are offended. I genuinely think it speaks very poorly of a person if they look at Greta Thunberg and think 'oh god, she annoys me', and I think people who find themselves thinking like that should reflect around what aspect of her annoys them, and then try to understand how unreasonable that is, and then try to work on how to better themselves so it's no longer the case. You're reading too much into it, the public speaking mannerisms of teenagers tend to be cringe inducing. This isn't a value judgement. True. I do also find her uncomfortable to listen to, but I think that's intentional. I think she's doing good work, as she's clearly trying to make her audience uncomfortable. The thing is that we aren't her target audience : world leaders are. And yes, all of them deserve to squirm on the issue of climate change. I think China has a better chance of dealing with Climate change successfully than the US does. Their centralized economy means they can go ahead and shut down all coal mining once they have enough renewables, while we're still investing in scrubbing coal fumes because of propaganda about a tiny amount of jobs in one region that are dropping for unrelated reasons. In theory yes. But it requires the person at the top to choose too. Right now in China many places are still open pit burning plastic because it is cheaper than dealing with it properly. And 1000 other examples. They could just institute proper waste management and have it done inside 3 years when you see some of their accomplishments in engineering and massive projects. But instead they go for massive showy projects that show how great and amazing the ruling party is. Dictatorships with full control always have the opportunity to do the best the quickest, they just never seem to because the guy at the top is never interested in the public good, at least not more than he is interested in his own good power and legend. Right. They're still doing a better job than the US is, imo, where rolling coal is a real thing that people do just to piss off liberals (they remove all environmental controls from their trucks so that they belch black smoke continuously. It doesn't make the trucks cheaper to run or anything.). It's easier for their populace to be convinced climate change is real than ours.

Fox is not even covering the Trump presser :-)

Is the circus over? Has the state apparatus gotten a new symbolic figurehead to distract the masses?

Side note: The landscaping company where the presser is being held is next to an adult bookstore.

How good does a lawyer need to be to spin pure air into a case infront of a judge. Especially a high profile big time case like vote counting in an election?
We've seen the exchange reported previously. There is nothing to spin when you claim your side was not allowed to observe and a judge asked you if you had an observer present and your forced to say 'yes' or lie under oath and face disbarment.
(besides, good lawyers want to get paid and Trump has a history of not paying)

I assume they don't concede, so i'm probably not missing much. It’s basically the same narrative as before. They don’t understand how they could have been so far ahead after only counting Trump ballots and then fallen so far behind after they started counting Biden ballots. Also they don’t understand that the Biden ballots were cast earlier but counted later. Of course a cynic would say they absolutely understand but they’re hoping their audience doesn’t.

If the courts decide lil' Donnie is in big trouble. They appear to have forgotten what actually happened in Bush v. Gore...

Apparently up to 60% of his "Legal Defense Fund" is going to general relief of his debts. I think that means "own pocket."

im genuinely interested to know what goes through the minds of guys like giuliani or trumps kids. like i can wrap my head around trump being a narcissist and a psychopath, but for EVERYONE around him to buy into his bullshit and keep the narrative rolling, like...whats in it for you? (aside from money. money alone isnt enough for this shit) mind you these arent your typical dumbass rednecks you find on facebook, some of these people on paper are highly educated and well qualified to do what they do. honestly, as much as i hate these people i would love to have dinner with any one of them just to see how their mind works. how do trumps kids look at him and say "yep. im proud that he is my father and i absolutely support everything he says and does". i know if my dad was trump my words to my father would 100% be "dad stop embarrassing yourself"

Just saw the election got called and read back a few pages.
I think that the dems have to pivot to Hispanics and just overall strategy to get Texas into the tent. Its definitely in striking range and I think would be a lot easier then plunging so much into Florida every cycle.

I think most of the Trump familiy were doing illegal business during his presidency, what will happen to them if Trump loses? They're deep in this shit.

It's not that it's not possible but the operation that Bush employed was from the machine that nixon set up and even then bearly got it over the line without breaking apart.
Trump has no chance at putting togeather an army capable of turning over multiple states let alone starting something to take back Pennsylvania from a landscape store.

NYT rubbing it in with the title:
FIRST CANDIDATE TO BEAT AN INCUMBENT IN OVER A QUARTER OF A CENTURY
Those people must be having so much fun right now, knowing Trump himself will probably read what they write.

Does anyone else desperately want to hear how exactly the Trump campaign's presser ended up happening in the parking lot of a landscaping store?

I think trump has always shown great instincts for the media but has such a wild inability to execute any of it that it had to happen at a landscape store while hes golfing.
I hope golfing is ruined by the moment coming when he was golfing.

I genuinely believe that they thought it was the next best thing after they couldn’t get a conference hall at The Four Seasons on short notice. Instead of asking “well which places with conference halls can we get?” they went with “well which four seasons can we hold this at?”. But it’s all so weird. It’s like if you asked for a turkey sandwich and they said they were out of those and offered you a flight to Turkey rather than a chicken sandwich.
