You're the one who had to qualify your positive statement about her with 'she annoys me most of the time'. Why? What about her annoys you? She's a 19 year old girl who has been doing more than any other 19 year old girl in the entire world to deal with the biggest single issue that the world faces, or arguably has ever faced. And when you decide to opine on her, you say 'she annoys me most of the time'. I don't get it.
I tried to avoid this exchange but...
You don't get a free ride to Davos/the WEF if what you're propagating isn't in the interest of the type of people who go there.
I respect Greta for having the courage to stand up to something at a young age but she was being instrumentalized.

I think it's gonna be a significant portion of the country unfortunately. It's probably going to depend on how hard Fox News leans into the narrative.

It's just one of his random internet rants he has nothing lmao

Gonna be a few pretty stark tests of our institutions to get through yet before this is over, I hope people are ready for that

They seemed to be surprisingly objective/reasonable for the most part.
I actually was surprised that they called it a few minutes after CNN.

I hope your institutions are.

As the transition begins, I wonder the damage that can be done. Who will just ignore everything and wait for next year.

Well, she's on the autism spectrum. So she's not likely to awaken warm feelings in people : that's literally a disability for her.
Yea, this is like being annoyed at a wheelchair bound person for not being able to walk.

Who are these people and where is Donald? I really want to observe his salt in real-time.

In fact, the very idea that adults who're generally easier annoyed at younger people somehow are pathetic because it's Thunberg is absolutely idiotic. Not really sorry you are offended. I genuinely think it speaks very poorly of a person if they look at Greta Thunberg and think 'oh god, she annoys me', and I think people who find themselves thinking like that should reflect around what aspect of her annoys them, and then try to understand how unreasonable that is, and then try to work on how to better themselves so it's no longer the case. You're reading too much into it, the public speaking mannerisms of teenagers tend to be cringe inducing. This isn't a value judgement.

God I hope it stays this way. I hope there will be no QAnon & Trump cult violence in the next days and hope Trump has no success with his next actions.

The actual analogy would be to be stuck behind a wheel chair/mobility scooter on the road. Nobody is annoyed at Greta because she's autistic.
Great strawman though.

Considering both Biff and i gave no judgement over her ideas or values, i don't think Drone's grasping that.

So these eyewitnesses don't seem to be proving anything. You have never been allowed to record, or even photograph vote counting. Not to mention ever bring in personnel computers. Ever.

Not that he needed much encouraging, but I'm sure everyone that has to deal with Trump in person right now was more than happy to get him out golfing.

Biden's walking into possibly one of the most nightmarish scenarios a president could walk into. A raging pandemic, a harsh economic crisis, demands for tangible reform in race relations and policing, environmental crises, reuniting a country more bitterly divided than ever, challenging China's rising presence and many, many more issues. I hope he finds the strength and people to find the light through this.

Yeah, it's not the greatest legacy to inherit at the moment.

I'm almost of the opinion that basically all public press conferences should have a side-stream of real-time fact-checking. Hell some things seem vaguely problematic to me, then I'm quickly disavowed of that information with someone over in Yank land explaining how it works in their States.
There's so much bollocks around, and not everyone has the luxury to be familiar with the TL politics thread.
This conference is an absolutely train-wreck though, not sure I need much fact-checking to help me navigate this one. I expected them to have very little to walk in with but it seems they have even less than that.

If the rumors that were buzzing around yesterday are true, then Rupert Murdoch has already told Trump to concede. It doesn't look like he's going to be fighting Trump's fight this time.

I met him back in 2017. I must say you could hear a pin drop in the room when he is speaking (this was at a leadership conference not for any party). The guy has more leadership in his pinky than the clown who sits in the office today.
You will be on the right track. There are Republican's who can work with him and have great relationships so the country is getting back on the right track.

No, I'm acknowledging that they're not passing value judgments. I don't particularly care for continuing this discussion right here though, if m4ini or biff wants me to elaborate further in a PM I will. I was just really surprised that Biff was annoyed by her, because based on my impression of him, it was entirely out of character. Which I guess is also how he feels about me saying adult men who are annoyed by her are pathetic.
