I mean, tons of other states have votes outstanding. It's just that we don't care about them. Because, like PA, we know there's a 99.9% chance who won (okay, in some it's 100%).

Couple quick media notes:
1. Rachel Maddow says she is going to quarantine after contact with an infected person. https://twitter.com/maddow/status/1324855524454764550? 2. On 2024 GOP nominees, Steve Schmidt (2008 GOP campaign manager) says it's going to be Tucker Carlson, because of how many people supported Trump even after all this.
3. Trump is trying to break the irony scale

Looks like TL is unanimous for dumps. Good job team. Convicted felon D'Souza isn't even a good propagandist. His latest movie was basically him going all out to please Trump and came across as more of a comedy. https://theoutline.com/post/5711/death-of-a-nation-dinesh-dsouza-review?zd=1&zi=felimsvc
Warning : Nightmare fuel. Dinesh tried to blend Lincoln and Trump's face. + Show Spoiler +
...apparently he released "The Trump Card" last month, so his previous effort, I mean.
PJW, sure.

About revolutions:
Its not so much about how to do a revolution right or wrong,a revolution generally is a very chaotic event that can not be planned out till the end.
Before a revolution can take place you need a very large part of the population beeing very unhappy about the current state of affairs and seeing no other way out and even that isnt a guarantee as surpression can go a long way. They are extremely unlikely to ever happen again in any western democracy and even many other places around the world. Revolutions are a thing of the past for most western nations, that i am almost certain about.

If you guys elect Tucker Carlson as president, i mean, lol.
Imagine the memes. Not that i actually think he's electable, which he isn't, but in the US being unelectable doesn't appear to mean the same thing as everywhere else (bar the UK maybe).

I'm pretty sure I have food poisoning atm and frankly that Tucker Carlson gave me brain poisoning to add on top of it...

Calling the election at this point seems at least slightly premature. Yes, there is little chance that Biden lost, but the margins are so small that it's a little bit too aggressive to make the call before it's very definitively clear that not enough votes exist to change the result.

Btw I don't think it's been said here, but Oregon fucking DECRIMINALIZED HARD DRUGS.

So no, its not premature, at this point a baby could be born in the time itll take for the press to finally call this election.

It's clear. The remaining votes in NV and PA are all in areas where Biden handily won the in-person vote in, and all that's left are the mail in ballots, which lean even MORE democratic, and Biden already leads.
Trump can flip all of the other states and still lose, and any court challenge to throw out late ballots only helps Biden right now (as they've barely started on them in PA).
The only reason to delay is for extra views for the news networks (and Fox trying to save face over the early AZ call).
|
AZ and GA are too early to call. But this "what if these ballots left for the end more than reverse the trends we've seen" crap being pulled to justify not calling PA/NV is not how places should call state election results.
And if how you call states changes depending on how you've called other states...I don't think your technique is appropriate. It speaks volumes that if PA had counted their early vote before election day, this election would already have been called.

A study of 27 people found that a treatment featuring the hallucinogen psilocybin worked better than the usual antidepressant medications, a team reported Wednesday in the journal JAMA Psychiatry.

So maybe the media moguls are waiting for the SCOTUS to pull the trigger.

On one hand, Tucker Carlson spouts tons of obvious bullshit on the record, and I think ideally that should be too much to be electable. On the other hand, we just nearly reelected someone who does the same thing, so I'm ready to be disappointed again if he ends up somehow being a competitive nominee.

I was wondering about this, but this means that none of those ballots are included in the counts that have been published right? Feels a bit like a non issue as those ballots no doubt favor biden and he most likely wont need them?

As far as I am aware, there is not a shred of evidence suggested any of those ballots have been counted, anywhere.
But that hasn't stopped the Trump campaign for suing about it.

All we know is that PA has already been doing this anyways in preparation for litigation and the sort.
