Trump isn't going to prevail in court to a degree to save him by all credible accounts I've seen. So we're down to political leverage to push faithless electors as a technical victory and/or outright instigating (more than he has) violent refusal to accept the results or any verification of them. This is the first election in living memory where that last one is a serious (albeit still fairly remote) wildcard possibility in the US. What concerns me the most right now is that Trump/Republicans might not have the ability to rein in his most fanatical supporters at this point, even if they wanted to.

Decision Desk HQ projects that @JoeBiden has won Pennsylvania and its 20 electoral college votes for a total of 273. Joe Biden has been elected the 46th President of the United States of America. Race called at 11-06 08:50 AM EST https://twitter.com/DecisionDeskHQ/status/1324710866516905984?s=20

If Maricopa numbers came in and expanded Biden's lead...that's another story. Don't see anything suggesting it from the person I've been following in AZ though.

JOE BIDEN WILL CAPTURE ITS 20 ELECTORAL VOTES AND HE NOW HAS SURPASSED THE NECESSARY 270 ELECTORAL VOTES WITH 279, MAKING JOE BIDEN THE PRESUMPTIVE PRESIDENT-ELECT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Just wanted to point out that I called this shit 11 hours ago, but hey, not every news station and polling org can be as good as your friends here at the Teamliquid.net Decision Desk. https://twitter.com/DecisionDeskHQ/status/1324710866516905984?s=20 Decision Desk seems to have been the only large-ish coverage team that has officially called this race, though Nate Silver and Nate Cohn seemed to imply that it was also over a long time ago. GEORGIA FLIPPED HAHAHAHAAHAHA Alright well I think this will do it, I'll probably keep up with the major pollsters for a little bit until they finally announce the President-elect and I'll stay up to date with the numbers in Arizona, Nevada, and Georgia for a bit. NC will come out next week, when I get news of that I'll update assuming the main USPMT is gonna be back up. Thanks everyone to an awesome coverage, it was fun being your newscaster for this election. Shoutouts to everyone who followed this thread and used this as your main source of info, hopefully in 2 years we can do this again and I'll be right back here on the TL.net Decision Desk. AND HAPPY 9000 POSTS TO ME!

If you're interested in further paranoia, given Trump's propensity for cheating and rigging things, the electors don't vote until December 14th. Feel free to stay nervous - for the next five weeks - that a bunch of faithless electors will try to give Trump a free presidency, completely nullifying the entire election. Or that Biden gets assassinated. I don't really have the energy to worry about those things right now though; I'm just hoping that Trump voters don't become too violent over the next few days. Are faithless electors really a thing? Anyway. Glad that this absolute nightmare of a presidency comes to an end. I hope they now win the senate and that Biden can implement at least part of his program and start the long process of cleaning up that mess.

Faithless electors are a thing, but faithless electors overturning the EC victory/popular vote victory has never happened. Not sure they've ever overturned the EC victory alone either. And I think it would require establishment support that Trump...lacks, to put it politely.

That's going to be absolutely orgasmic.

Thank fuck Trump is gone (fingers crossed there’s not some ridiculous court ruling), nice sharing the thread with you all, next step the socialist revolution. To elaborate on what other people said, he's the founder and editor in chief of fivethirtyeight, a stats website. He's the one who designed their model, which is something he did almost alone in 2008 but now has like 30 people helping out.
