After saying earlier this AM there are fewer than 25K absentee ballots left, Georgia's secretary of state has corrected the number to the same count the data shows: About 50K left. That doesn't include provisionals, military and overseas ballots & ballots that are cured. Another Biden miracle! Doubt that Trump will win any state by less than 3.4% he saw in Florida.

First Trump tweet in 14 hours
Can't wait for the followup where he says 'except in Nevada and Arizona of course'

Amazing, I still remember one Tl.net user recently saying Trump meant, only the votes, coming in to late should be stoped, not the counting..

From 538:
It looks like another 20,000 or so votes have come in from Philadelphia, and they broke 92 percent for Biden. Along with about 9,000 votes from deep-blue Montgomery County that broke 73 percent for Biden, this cut Trump’s statewide advantage from 2.6 percentage points to 2.3 points. It might seem wild that the Philadelphia tranche of votes could be that Democratic, but look at this way: Philadelphia usually votes around 80 percent (or a little higher) for Democratic presidential candidates. Clinton, for example, won 82 percent of the county’s votes in 2016. Right now, Biden is at about 80 percent in Philadelphia. But we also know that voters who used mail-in ballots were more likely to be Democrats, so you’re talking about the most Democratic votes out of a strongly Democratic-leaning pool of voters.
Ninety-two percent.
Sweet Jesus Trump ain't holding onto a lead with those kinds of numbers.

It will probably be safe to call PA for Biden in the next few hours at this rate. That means Biden reaches 273 EC votes and can probably give a victory speech.

Pathetic. Just pathetic. Just get the man a romper suit.

A not insignificant # of folks campaigned on medicare for all and outlawing private insurance (Harris being one). It was what...Biden and Buttigieg the only ones who didn't. If you see D trends they're moving to Sanders positions on a lot of things and even Germany aren't stupid enough to outlaw their private insurance market. Just to make me understand better. You cite one policy where Harris is too far left for you and that seals the deal on the whole party being too far left? Do you think her statement from July 2019 is not up to date anymore? People will also be able to purchase supplemental insurance covering services not included in Medicare, such as medical insurance for traveling abroad, or cosmetic surgery. As she's now part of the Biden campaign, this is her current position, which reads pretty similar to me: Show nested quote + As president, Biden will protect the Affordable Care Act from these continued attacks. He opposes every effort to get rid of this historic law – including efforts by Republicans, and efforts by Democrats. Maybe he's finally realized that his only realistic path to 270 is through diet and exercise. lmao Sometimes it only takes a single policy or idea. What if AOC became president in 2021 and ran off the premise that she will push 100% of her Green New Deal program through and had Dem control of congress and the supreme court.
https://www.vox.com/2019/2/8/18215774/green-new-deal-high-speed-train-air-travel Now there is a ton to go over in that plan, but let's just assume she bans air travel by "x" date and moves to build speed railways immediately. Let's use California as a great example as to how development of the speed rail system has failed and continues to just eat up money. https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/california/articles/2020-02-12/california-bullet-train-cost-rises-by-another-1-billion
Now let's apply that to a National Scale and this is trillions of dollars (who and where is that money coming from) to try and accomplish something that will take decades. Yes it will provide jobs, but it while siphon every penny we have.
Now my problem isn't with the idea as a whole, I think a country full of trains would be awesome, but that is just one item from her plan that is going to cost trillions of dollars and there are many other items that could cost trillions too. So now I'm stuck wondering if this woman is insane and really thinks all this can be done, or she's just putting out some crazy plan and so every plan after that would look mild and reasonable. For just this policy alone, I would never vote AOC for president.
I'm speaking with hyperbole obviously, but this is the kind of all or nothing logic that it sometimes feels like will happen if Democrats have power.

You really don't want to be wrong here. While we all expect PA to flip looking at the numbers, it still could just be the votes arent there and Trump pulls it off.
Fox is going to have to explain the AZ call when Trump will probably win it and you dont want to be in their shoes

Trump is like that friend who insists on turning on the bonus stars in Mario Party then gets upset when the other player wins because of the coin and minigame stars.
Meanwhile AP and Fox praying that PA flips blue before Nevada announces because they really don't want to call it based on 270 with Arizona...

According to the NYT, Georgia has 61,367 outstanding mail-in absentee ballots to count, and the count should be done by noon (Eastern) today.
These are all in heavily blue counties.
That is absolutely enough for Biden to take the lead.
This also lines up with when Nevada will start announcing more results.
Arizona won't say anything until this evening.

What do they do then? Do they call the election knowing full well it's not over? I mean it's a fucking disaster.

"Outstanding" as in they were mailed out and may or not have been mailed back or they are in possession of that many waiting to be counted/recorded?

Waiting to be counted, per the NYT. The only state that I've seen that's reported "mailed out but not returned yet" is North Carolina.

Having worked for a US private health care pharmacy benefits manager in the past, that whole industry should 100% be abolished. Even if I were still working for them and didn't have another job lined up, I would still feel that way. Treated their employees like garbage and their customers worse. At least once I had a judge's order cross my desk, pointed it out to management, and had them reply "violates our policy, we won't do it".

I mean, it's already kind of a disaster for them, because even though I personally believe Biden will carry AZ (Trump's squeaked his margins out in Maricopa with the ballots that will be best for him last night and I don't see that continuing, basically the opposite of Biden in PA) it will be close enough it shouldn't have been called.
Curious if Trump will stop saying "STOP THE COUNT" when he's behind in PA.

IMO nothing that people need should be private, from healthcare, garbage and other utilities, education and so on. Well private has some benefits when it is a must for people the maximization of profit is way more damaging for society then what ever benefits can be gained by some more efficiency and possibly more innovation.
Interesting. Collectivization of the farms commence!
