Why is it my favorite? Well, because your daddy Regan first fucked up by creating a shitty law, a law that broke a huge number of companies which he then used taxpayer money to bail out. The net loss after all asset sales was the final nominal cost of $124 billion to $132 billion funded purely by taxpayers.
When adjusted for inflation, the net economic destruction directly from the bailouts stands at roughly $300 billion to $390 billion.
If you extrapolate that up and imagine that money was not borrowed against the national debt, and assume about 5 % average interest over the 36 years, it comes down to about $700 B (on the lower end) smaller national debt.
This is the hero of libertarians and "best Republican president".
To paraphrase the old meme, if only these kids could read. You forgot his absolutely evil response (or rather a lack thereof) to the AIDS crisis. Legend has it that to this day, Reagan burns in hell, patiently waiting for heaven to trickle down to him. Oh, absolutely, I was just trying to focus on specific things that have clear and hugely negative consequences that any "real" libertarian (which Jimmy claims to be) would agree are bad. I am not a libertarian. I am a David Kelley "fact and value" Objectivist. "David Kelly" was also Bobby Kotick's boss while everyone was blaming Kotick while pretending David Kelly did not exist for 5+ years. And we have David N. Kelley attorney guiding Steve Ballmer thru the fake tree planting for carbon credits scandal that featured David Kelly as the head of the NBAPA. Donald Love was awesome in GTA3. The Apex villian in GTA5 should be a Jew named David Kelly. On the epistemological side of things: I pretty much agree with everything Miss Rand wrote about the subject. OK; and in your, objectivist view, Regan was the best thing since sliced bread? You have no issues with any of the things I listed and will continue to tout him as one of the best presidents? Are objectivists big fans of tax payers bailing out businesses? Or are they perhaps very into selling arms to religious fundamentalist to arm anti-communist terrorist mass murderers? I can only rank performances against other Presidents. Evaluating Reagan in a vacuum would be silly. So , since 1976 here are my rankings. (1) Clinton 2 (2) Reagan 2 (3) Clinton 1 (4) Obama 1 (5) Reagan 2 (6) Trump 1 (7) Obama 2 (8) Sr. Bush 1 (9) Carter 1 (10) W Bush 1 (11) W Bush 2 Right now, Trump 2 is coming in right around 9. So right now, its Clinton, Reagan, Obama, Trump, Bush Sr.,Carter, W Bush. Trump still has room to move based his performance over the next 2 years. Keep in mind, I view Presidents as having the autonomy of "Assistant Managers". They have some power to do some things. However, they also get ordered to do things and they can say "no" occasionally. It is similar to an information worker in a knowledge factory type corporation like Microsoft saying "no" to their boss about participating in a new project. Now, when a knowledge worker or a President says "no" too many times to their boss they eventually get fired. An example of a President getting fired for saying "No" one time too many to their bosses occurred on November 22, 1963. JFK got fired that day. Despite my low ranking of Jimmy Carter, I must acknowledge his July 1979 "Crisis Of Confidence" speech is one of the most stirring and inspirational speeches I've ever heard. "It is time to stop crying and it is time to start sweating" What criteria are you using to rank the performances of these presidents? Also, the firing process of a president is supposed to begin with impeachment. Being assassinated doesn't mean you've been a bad president or said "No" to many times. in my view, JFK was fired by the people who run the USA. JFK was "fired" by one person (or, at most, a few people).

Iran might possibly be researching a nuclear weapon ... the weapons research facility is right beside Iraq's WMDs! I'll say this... Iran has done a great job designing flying lawn mowers. The Iranian engineers are very smart. Anyhow, by Trump firing off a massive stock pile of missiles during this Iran thing Trump can now logically request a massive military budget increase and the people who told Trump to surround Iran can profit from all the additional military spending.
You see, the USA is a military-industrial complex. James Madison's USA disappeared many, many decades ago.
Holy conspiracy bullshit batman. JJR, you are one weird guy. You could legitimately be a character in the book trilogy "Illuminatus!"

The US is surrounding Iran, by abandoning the bases they had around Iran because they have been destroyed by drones and instead retreating to a single base to be build in Israel. So the Mossad doesnt have to travel so far.

You see, the USA is a military-industrial complex. James Madison's USA disappeared many, many decades ago. Holy conspiracy bullshit batman. JJR, you are one weird guy. You could legitimately be a character in the book trilogy "Illuminatus!" It’s wild how he says these wild things and then when someone asks why, he matter of facts states some wild conspiracy theory as if it’s known fact and the other people are crazy.
Wild ride every time, at least this one is fairly free of bigotry. Unless it’s the Jews or whoever that is really in charge I guess.

The military-industrial complex is a real thing, but it's not the omnipresent cause of all conflicts on Earth. Trump alienating all of America's allies so they're less inclined to spend their money on American armaments is directly contrary to the MIC (and just to be clear, the MIC is a bad thing, but the way Trump has done this helps literally nobody except NATO's enemies).
