Which to me is crazy because the oBlades will just jump to the next lie anyway.

You have apparently never read anything I said about the reflecting pool which doesn't make for a good background to your "please give me attention oBlade" bait.

Didn't you just say "FIX THE POOL" and then refuse to answer any follow up questions?

You might have also said "controversy lol" if I recall.

If I said that, it sounds good so it's still my position.

Apparently they already drained it after July 4th and are still working on it. Did anyone know that or didn't it matter since the caring fad passed?

So on the issue of corruption and blatant lies to the American public, your official stance is still "FIX THE POOL" and "controversy lol" ?

Yes we know the pool is being fixed once again because the first time around, Trump's friends (the contractors that he chose in a No-bid contract with no prior experience for this type of job) completely botched the job.

What do you have to say on the matter of Trump lying about it and claiming they had to fix it again due to vandals ?

Classic, complains about my presumption, couple posts later says my presumption was correct. Adulting is all about writing as many words as possible while saying nothing and avoiding straightforward questions.

Things may be worse now than before Trump but at least a Trump affiliated contractor got an overpriced non competitive contract to make them worse. If I paid taxes and if tax money was actually used for public expenditure (rather than Trump’s policy of printing more) I’d be upset about this. Fortunately I’m able to let America pay for America’s mistakes.

Yes we know the pool is being fixed once again because the first time around, Trump's friends (the contractors that he chose in a No-bid contract with no prior experience for this type of job) completely botched the job.

Something feels like deja vu here.

You know when you say "no-bid contract" pejoratively, you're referring to a legal and accepted practice in the US? Neither does no-bid mean no-consideration. No-bid contracts did not appear from January 2025 when the current world started.

I think you also don't realize how much exposure a company has if they signed a contract and then were to, say, ruin a national monument. The modifier "no-bid" does not mean it's not a CONTRACT. You have to live up to it. Or you have to get one hell of a payday (not in the numbers here) because nobody is ever going to hire you again as soon as they google you and it comes up "Ruined a National Monument," not to mention literally any administration will be chomping at the bits to destroy you.

Otherwise what's "completely botched the job" mean, in your view as a pool expert?

Had the pool been previously been leaking tens of thousands of gallons per day? Yes. When was the last repair? 2012. How long did it take? Two years. Was it a no-bid contract? No. Did the pool leak after that? Yes.

Okay, what has happened after this year's repair? Some liner broke and floated to the top and there was a summer algae bloom after the installed machines weren't working yet? And now the company is redoing it under warranty? Which even if they need to close it for an extra month, would be 10% the time of the last closing for repairs. This is not apocalypse stuff, and I will repeat, lol.

What's prior experience for this type of job supposed to be? You know how unique the Reflecting Pool is? There's one company with experience with it. Their name is Sika. They did the last job under Obama. The one that didn't work, wasn't a no-bid contract, took longer, was more expensive. What company would you have hired and what kind of repair? Life's busy and I prefer to keep up with other stuff like the fact that Trump is about to nuke a mountain in Iran and send 50,000 troops in, so there are limits to how much of a pool expert I care to become on my own but if you can explain how this was uniquely "botched" and it's not just that massive unique pools on sinking land are difficult, I'm all ears.

New Senate race polling, Texas:
https://x.com/PollTracker2024/status/2084599796615033053

Talarico (D) up by 2
Cruz (R) never trailed O'Rourke (D) in his Texas Senate reelection race.
The three most recent polls have Talarico leading.

Best chance for Democrats to retake a Texas senate seat in 20 years.

The creative ways the MAGA stooges try to normalize trumps non stop lying is fascinating. It never remotely works on anyone outside of the cult of stupidity but they go for it every time!

I never said the no-bid contract was illegal I said it was just another example of normalized corruption in the USA.
No-bid federal contracts usually have 6-12% profit margin. This one had 20%. That's 3M in profits just for being Trump's friend.

Companies that have comparable experience in waterproofing large pools:
Water Works
Water Structures
KJC Waterproofing
Membrane Concepts

I didn't come up with the term "botched" so I don't feel the need to define it to you, seeing as I'm no expert. "Botched" is the term used by the DOJ to describe the job done by Trump's friend after investigation.

So we're using "exagerating" instead of "lying" now are we ? Ok maybe arresting a former olympic athlete on false charges was a bit of an exageration right ? Oops no biggie, just Trump being Trump.

Yeah going to be harder to keep $3 million when they're liable for redoing the thing, which has a high risk of something going wrong like 2012, under warranty, as they are doing now.

You should know what "botched" means if you use it. You are not now quoting a Trump DOJ filing because you believe them or because you trust them, you are quoting them because they agree with what you already thought. So you should know what exactly was "botched." In detail. About the pool. From the horse's mouth, the ever-credible (for you) Trump DOJ (except weeks ago when they had this guy charged but you didn't believe it).

Sadly it’s just a case of you being an asshole and making a poor argument and attempt to burn. The thing with you centerist danglers is you do not seem to notice that words mean different things. If I said that, it sounds good so it's still my position.

I rate your cognitive dissonance as right about equal to his. If you really meant "I barely read his posts" when he accuses you of "please give me attention oBlade," simply stop! He might have you nailed dead to rights. I look forward to a time when you're not name-dropping him and replying to his posts in a show of how often you read them and reply to them.

No-bid federal contracts usually have 6-12% profit margin. This one had 20%. That's 3M in profits just for being Trump's friend.

Companies that have comparable experience in waterproofing large pools:
Water Works
Water Structures
KJC Waterproofing
Membrane Concepts

Yeah going to be harder to keep $3 million when they're liable for redoing the thing, which has a high risk of something going wrong like 2012, under warranty, as they are doing now.

You're missing the point. Whether or not they keep the 3M is irrelevant, what matters is that they got to have it in the first place when "normal" contractors would have gotten ~ 1,5M.

I think you're also not thinking quite clearly. My stance is very obvious, I trust neither Trump nor his DOJ. By that I mean that I think they lie enough of the time that they are not reliable sources of information.
Why I'm quoting the DOJ is because in this instance, we have the head of the DOJ saying something (damage to the pool was not done by vandals) and Trump saying the exact opposite (damage done to the pool was done by vandals). It follows logically that one of them is saying a falsehood. (Regardless of whether I trust any of them).
My opinion is that Trump is the one lying because he has all the reasons to lie as you've said, it benefits him politically. On the other hand the head of the DOJ has no reason to lie, quite the contrary as it endangers her job.
Now we've established that one of them is telling falsehoods, who do you think it is and why ?
