All while major economies are running out of oil reserves. Seems like a totally sustainable pattern the world can keep repeating. feels like almost every weekend trump attacks after markets close and pretends the war is over before they open on monday. You mean Iran attacks and US responds. Why do people keep framing this like Iran isn’t the one walking the dogs? Because its Trump that decides to attack after markets close on friday and Trump who claims there is a peace deal before markets open on monday.
Plus the whole fact that this is a war of aggression by the US, and Iran is the defending party here. And the US is the one that wants a peace deal to get out of this.

The real state of affairs is much more balanced than screeching voices in the popular media would have you believe.

Trump is actively breaking the Foreign Emoluments Clause on a daily basis and him and his family are very obviously accepting bribes in order to influence his goverment, there are laws against that, unfortunately, the SC has made it so that Trump is immune from all of it, but he is still a criminal and a head of a massive crime family profiting every which way they can from his presidency. Well, nothing really happened when people found out the Supreme Court was taking bribes, so it's only fair for them to share the privilege. Or had their wife at Jan 6th, messaging the White House chief of staff or being directly involved in post-election lobbying to overturn it. Since all the cases were thoroughly rebuked by the lower courts it didn't come to SCOTUS hearing the 2020 "case", but in one aspect that they did rule on, ability of Congress to request WH tapes regarding it the sole dissenting voice was, well, take a wild guess. "Pay no attention to the genocidal expansionism and unprecedented corruption behind the...wait, what the hell happened to the curtain!? Nobody bid on the contract for the curtain, did they?".

They attacked after Iran baited them too by sending 4 one way drones. You continuing to ignore what is actually happening to fit your narrative is what you claim to be mad at the other side for doing.

They were attacked because they struck a tanker. They struck a tanker because it tried to pass through Iran's sovereign strait without coordinating with the IRGC and getting the appropriate permissions.

Yes, I’m talking about the 4 drones sent at the tanker with one hitting that led to the American attacks, which led to more Iranian done attacks.
Then my editorial is the US gave them more to stop. Since that’s been the cycle so far.

At this stage I think Iran is just going to wait '4 weeks' and see what they can shake from Mr Art of the Deal when they can't release any more reserves to suppress the price of oil.
Which makes sense from Iran's perspective... but sounds like a disaster for the rest of the world. I'm frankly staggered that the price of crude has been steadily trending down for the last month or so.
Do people really see a realistic end to the oil crunch in sight? Is there some giant super secret emergency reserve I don't know about?
It seems like the oil supply situation warrants WAY more panic in a way shorter term than the markets are displaying.

They show that they will attack cargo ships that don’t register, which will soon become pay, even with the he US there in full force. They are showing the world they could care less about their military sites being struck and even less about their citizens.
Iran is coming out of this as the biggest power in the Middle East.

Looks like a good decision to me. Biological males possess big advantages that go beyond size and strength. Joint Leverage for males results in far more power generation and injury risk. The tendons attach farther away from the bone.
Tim Lincecum is 5'9" and 155 lbs and had a 95mph fastball. The 2nd best pitcher on a team that went to game 7 of the world series weighed 132 lbs at the start of the year and threw over 90mph.
Ayami Sato, the best female pitcher on earth, played at the lowest level of men's pro baseball and had an ERA of 16. I am a 38 year old bum and my fastball is 10mph faster than Sato's.
Nothing is stopping anyone from forming a transgender sports org where everyone can join in. Meh.
Now, if a male wants to have his shoulder, elbow, and hips reconstructed to mirror female tendon insertion points I'd be 100% in favour of him or her playing women's baseball.

There are more state and federal bills about trans athletes in public schools than there are trans athletes in public schools in the United States. Wonderful job on the distraction from the $300,000,000,000 we owe Iran for losing a war against them though. Who's the next minority in the scapegoat queue?

This decision is just another step towards legislating trans people out of existence in the US. While there is a valid discussion to be had about trans people in sports, the whole trend in the us has been very sad to observe.

That said I’m not really sure it’s fair on female athletes to have trans athletes who may have physical advantages amongst their number
It’s used as a stick to beat trans people with, equally it’s, from what I’ve read not without validity either.

There are innumerable genes unrelated to sex that result in large advantages in sports, to say nothing of non-genetic factors. Perhaps we should have separate leagues for people who grew up in wealthy households because nutritional deficiencies during the childhood development of impoverished children makes their ability to fairly compete impossible too.
It's extra dumb when you're talking about grade school sports. None of my kids were super successful in soccer or baseball, but I never once had the urge to blame it on what's in the pants of the kids they were playing against. Because I'm not a moron.

I've yet to see any transwomen get any of the surgery necessary to level the playing field in sports like women's baseball. When they do .. it can be discussed. Until then the SCOTUS decision is solid. It can always be changed in the future as new surgical techniques evolve. Perhaps there will be a day when a male shoulder, elbow, and hip can be successfully transformed into the female analog. Until that point trans women have a massive unfair advantage.
Modern surgeries also impact boy's baseball. Teenage males are getting pre-emptive Tommy John surgery. It will be very tough to outlaw this. If there were a way I'd outlaw it.
Pre emptive Tommy John surgery on teenage boys destroys the innocent fun of "America's Past time".

Women's leagues exist because there is a structural inequality towards women on a society-wide level, not simply because men have a biological advantage.
In a distant future where all sexism has been abolished on every level, there is no reason all sports couldn't be co-ed.
