It's really starting to show how the establishment Democrats' organizing has been hollowed out by overpaid nepotistic consultants, Epstein class sponsored media buys, oblivious sycophants, and desperate lackeys (no actually active members here afaict). If you sincerely want Democrats to suck less, you don't really have any other choice than to be supporting DSA in whatever capacities you can. | ||

Do you disagree that it's been bought by Musk in order to manipulate the public discourse and that it's been turned into a right wing safe space with harrowing amount of racism, antisemitism and outright nazi propaganda? Don't you think that contributing to engagement numbers on it directly contributes to the success story of one of the worse and most malicious forces for pushing right wing ideas and policies all across the western world? I mean, we often talk about what we do in this tread and online in general and how this helps or harms the causes we believe in, isn't completely cutting off that platform the bare minimum for anyone who actually cares about fighting the things that Twitter has became associated with? Anyhow, don't know much about Angela Nixon, my only exposure to this race was a video I saw of an activist repeatedly asking Vindman why he supports the genocide in Gaza and while I'm not a fan of this kind of activism, his answers were pretty shitty so despite me kind of finding him cool because of what he did during the first Trump impeachment and his guest star appearance on Curb I was kind of rooting against him, simply put, he seemed like a militaristic true believer in American empire, not my cup of tea. There are many non-DSA Democratic party members who don't suck, and you playing along with the right and crypto centrist push for "DSA = All of Democrats or at least it should be and also yey communism" is unsurprising. | ||

No. Besides there not really being an ethical alternative, we're also using electronics with rare earths mined by hands of child slaves to access this site and any other alternative. As far as individual action goes, getting politically organized supersedes one's personal consumption habits. Getting organized is literally the bare minimum to maintain a democratic society (of pretty much any meaningful formation). | ||

For the record I don’t use twitter, or insta, or Snapchat, or tik tok. So I guess I’m the one true revolutionary socialist. The rest of you need to stop supporting genocide, get off the hamster wheel and stop all the mocking and gawking. The only shameful remnant of my social media presence is my dormant Facebook that is basically there just because I used it to log in to a bunch of things I still use (including battle.net) when I was a kid. | ||
