Antifa uses masks, laws were made to make masking in protests illegal beacuse it would interfere with identification, you proposed that cops should be allowed to mask so that it can interfear with identification.

People treat property damage as lesser than violence against other humans.
I don't think you consider other people's views. You see people challenging your views and you seek to try and defend yourself because to admit you may be wrong would be an attack on your self image. This werid delusion that we're the ones trying to generalize everyone and you're the special snowflake that has unique political ideas is just werid bro.
No ones going to watch your "trump so badass thumbnail" video. You have to describe why we should watch it or how it helps you in any way. GH at least put in the bare minimum of making a quote to give it context.

ROME (AP) — Thousands of protesters and strikers calling for solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza took to the streets in Italy on Monday, with some storming Milan’s central train station and clashing violently with police.
Italy’s grassroots unions, which represent hundreds of thousands of people ranging from schoolteachers to metalworkers, called for a 24-hour general strike in both public and private sectors, including public transportation, trains, schools and ports.
The strike caused disruptions across the country, with long delays for national trains and limited public transport in major cities, including Rome.

Are you under the impression that censorship only happens to conservatives? Like you literally described how the crazies that were banned made the conservative message better.

What they mean is that gays aren’t allowed to exist in the same world as children. A teacher may not have a same sex partner. A Disney character may not have a same sex partner. Books may not feature same sex characters. Complete societal erasure of gays.
They insist that it is because homosexuality is inherently sexual, that a male teacher can’t say the words “my husband” without graphic descriptions of buggery. The children shouldn’t be exposed to graphic descriptions of buggery, they say, and therefore they can’t possibly comprehend two men in a loving committed relationship.
And yet this same standard isn’t applied to heterosexual relationships. Simba can get down with Nala and nobody thinks that’s inappropriate. Nobody is wringing their hands claiming that they can’t possibly explain the relationship between Anna and Kristoff in Frozen to their children. The Bible, with its graphic sexual references, is allowed in school libraries.
It is not, and never has been, about preventing the exposure of children to sexual material. It has always been about the erasure of homosexuals. Oblade is simply lying.
I don't think it's as life-threatening to be a gay person as it was 20 years ago, but that's very different from people truly accepting it. Kids and even adults are (justifiably) way more likely to stay in the closet if they have conservative and/or religious parents, family, and friends. Even though Republicans have been particularly obsessed with the trans community, none of the LGBTQ+ demographics are viewed equally/equitably yet.

Mate I am Polish born in seventies, you sure you want to go down this route? because I remember my bus being stopped by armed soldiers, I remember shots being fired at protestors, because I effing heard them. See my issue with your view is not even that you are socialist. It is that you are dishonest about it. General strike my ass. You do know what is needed, but you are reluctant to spell it out You have exactly 0 chance of peaceful gaining of power and everyone knows it. The only way you gain power is a slaughter. My biggest issue with you is that you are not admitting it.

Slaughtering people is how capitalism stays in power. The US has been at war basically its entire existence. One thing that bugs me about capitalists and their lackeys is that they pretend that the status quo isn't already insanely/unacceptably violent.

Dude what are you doing here? What you dont understand ?? Slaughtering people is the only effing way socialism gets a traction. Do you think I am going to willingly give up what I earned because it is right thing to do? F..k that I am going to use every available loophole to make sure it is going to my kids.

If you think people only deserve what they earn, why are you so eager to give what you earned to your kids that haven't? Socialism is just nepotism for everyone.

I would be biased if I grew up in the Soviet union too. I'm sorry you had to deal with that, but the same is true for capitalism.
I think that in capitalism, the blame is easier to pass to individual private entities. If the government deregulates and corporations adapt to that, causing massive environmental damage, it is not viewed as the fault of the government or the economic system that pressured it, but rather as the fault of individual companies that polluted. If Nestle fucks with milk supplements or water sources, it is only the company's fault. The blame may be directed at some executives at most, but they will, at the worst, get a golden parachute. The owners or origin countries get very little notable blame. If a European company fucks the environment up in South America or uses debt to extort countries in Africa, the countries and their systems escape the blame. Many worry about China's influence growing in Africa and how dangerous it could be to the countries, but do not realise that the same influence by Western countries is not any better. Do not restrict our companies from operating in their countries, and do not dare to disagree on world politics with us, or any funding for humanitarian or charity projects will be cancelled, is a quite frequent position.
If we look at the current policies of the USA government, they are easily referred to as Trump's policies, to differentiate from those of the previous government, even when policies have been very similar for decades. Calling the policies capitalistic would elicit strange looks.
At the same time, communism is usually viewed through countries like the USSR, China, and North Korea, where everything has been government-led, so the buck eventually falls on the government in their abnormal system. There is no autonomous individual to take the blame. Things are not just a result of bad policy, mismanagement, or incompetence. They are always a symptom of a faulty system.
What happened is that all insane conservatives got banned, but all insane liberals stayed.
Ignoring the fact that the word "insane" isn't very useful from a research perspective, I'm asking for a source for this claim anyway. I'll consider it false until proven otherwise.
Anybody who thinks capitalism doesn't kill a shit ton of people needs to take a close look at Monsanto. Agent Orange. Hundreds of thousands estimated deaths and disfigurements. Plus many domestic cancer cases. Just one company. There are thousands of other examples of mass deaths caused by capitalism. And that doesn't even account for workplace deaths due to negligence and cost saving.
I bet people will argue "but the deaths from Agent Orange were caused by the government!" So what? Without capitalist cooperation it couldn't have happened. You think things are only capitalism if there's no government involvement? That's an outdated theory and it falls squarely under the no true Scotsman fallacy. Businesses having close ties with governments has virtually always been a thing since governments have been around. In fact that's how businesses spread around the globe, they needed governments to build their empires. A lot of public funding has gone into today's conglomerates. That's not capitalism, eh? Sure, dream on.
What's your point? Under any system, the government will command the production from whatever industry it has to defend/attack. The people working in companies are still citizens of its state. You don't need to tie that to a certain socio-economic organisation. If "the people" wouldn't do it, they'd be replaced by people who will. There's always someone who will go the extra mile to do the bidding of those with the means. And they will then, in turn, provide the means.

We're in agreement. I'm demonstrating that "socialism bad capitalism good because only socialism causes deaths" is a false dichotomy.
The common factor in all this is the human animal. Humans will cut corners and abuse each other and shunt others to the side, intentionally poison each other, all in pursuit of value or because of rationalized anger. Human nature is imperfect and the system should be around minimizing the amount that individuals can fuck up or maximizing the amount of accountability they can take. I eagerly await the basilisk.
I think most people saying socialism bad is that they look at communist Russia and China and point out how many people they sacrificed to get them only to implode upon themselves. And then look at capitalism and utter: "and look at the riches capitalism gave us!" I generally don't want to engage people who can't engage in a good faith discussion about socio-economic systems even though I'm not at all an expert, I'm always willing to engage on the hypotheticals and more or less have some grasp on the fundamentals. There's been so much muddying the waters that there's almost no way to get through to these people any more.
Imagine if an actually nice country went communist. I'm not a communist nor socialist but using countries that were already authoritarian shitholes like warlord era China or tsarist Russia as proof communism can't work or always resulrs in a materially inferior country is mypoic. Imagine a communist France or Japan. It would be very different because they weren't trying to leapfrog a whole stage of economic development.

I hope that Jimmy Kimmel is back to the same as before, but he's a pretty docile guy in general. He's really not as edgy as John Oliver or Jon Stewart or even Stephen Colbert, so I don't think there's any chance of him going into "guns a blazin" mode. I don't even know what "be neutered" would look like with him, given how mild-mannered even his monologues are. I guess maybe it would be him no longer poking fun at Trump?
Here's his return monologue:
I'd say it was a pretty standard temperature for him - ranging from a little edgy to him getting choked up at certain moments. He definitely didn't capitulate, calling out Trump and Carr and others while also repeating the same thing he had said about Kirk and Kirk's family when Kirk was killed (that Kimmel is saddened by the news and that his heart goes out to the family). Kimmel did take a nice jab at Disney at 12:30-13:05 on the video, and then he immediately spoke of his actual appreciation for Disney, for letting him have a platform all these years; his "make a joke at a target, but then highlight a positive aspect about the target" approach is pretty normal Kimmel stuff, I think.
He also called out Trump's desire to censor Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon, possibly saving their jobs in advance at 14:40-15:10, when he pleaded with everyone watching to be even louder against NBC than they were with Disney (if NBC gives in to Trump). During the second half of the monologue (20:00-24:00), Robert De Niro played a gangster who replaced Carr as the FCC chairman, and De Niro had some pretty specific attacks on Trump ("He can do his make-up better than any broad"; "He's so fat, he needs two seats on the Epstein jet"; "I need to go and put autism inside some Tylenol").
I hope Trump's censorship of Kimmel will backfire and achieve the Streisand effect - that satire and comedy aimed at Trump will become even more popular.
