Alex Jones is a well known and influential conservative ideologue who has made fearmongering about trans people a core part of his message for years. He also wanks to trans porn. He is emblematic of the whole issue. But in any case you’re just wrong, conservatives care far more about this issue. I didn’t hear of any socialists declaring that they were going to switch to bud light because a trans woman drank some but there was an awful lot of conservative outrage and boycotting and insisting that bud light had gone woke and must now therefore go broke.

If left wing parents have a child come out as transgender then it’s not a big deal, they love them no matter what. Whereas for conservative parents it’s the end of the world, they kick them out and tell everyone that the kid is dead.

I didn’t shame him nor use any loaded language to describe the situation. I didn’t call him a pervert or a degenerate the way he would had a prominent left wing figure been caught doing the same. I relayed the facts, Alex Jones is a conservative ideologue who has made transgender conspiracies a large part of his platform and has also streamed himself looking at trans porn. His gender identity is completely irrelevant to that fact pattern.

Whether it‘s been a good decision for them to decide on it (what they believe is an identity) so early in their life remains to be seen, but if exposure is a factor, then it‘s not going to be an optimal result with so much external peer pressure.
If a result is ever possible when identity is really just a matter of belief.
