I found it rather funny how people are happy to argue that punishment is not a deterrent, and yet they stop short of making fun of the prophet What’s the difference between Mohammed and a Catholic Priest? One is actually open about fucking 9 year olds.Oh we’re just so edgy! And like, absolutely afraid to make jokes about that Prophet. See, that joke DPB was actually quite clever as well, and not bad-natured or being a dick to Catholics too. It basically ticked all the boxes that shit one I pulled out of my arse did not. It could be, most of us mature adults grew out of making fun of religious people before we hit 20. Possibly. I don’t know. I’ve even less inclination to make fun of Muslim beliefs because they’ve already got mouth breathers like Reform voters in my country breathing down their necks. In the Western world if there’s a phrase, or variant thereof ‘you can’t say x anymore’ that is less untrue, I’ve yet to see it.

To anyone even vaguely, or in my case intimately familiar the idea of a (serious) Protestant being some arbiter of taste on such a joke is, unbelievably ridiculous, given they frequently say much, much worse.

To be honest, glad you explained it because I had no idea 😂

The reporting has no details on what concessions US is getting and yet the vibe markets are responding positively to it. Just shows that as far as markets go, nothing really makes sense anymore, this China news will be suppressed or spinned and number will go up, just like TSLA after their terrible earnings report. And this is why I don't invest, plenty of land around here I can buy and plant shit in.

The pun is a math joke; it's not a jab at the Pope. I'm also an atheist, like you, and this has nothing to do with atheism vs. Christianity vs. Islam. If any religious leader had a background in mathematics, then we could use the same reference angles. This isn't just inoffensive; I consider it to be complimentary (as opposed to supplementary). I suppose at this point it's rather derivative, but let me integrate the proper math explanation into my post, to help you differentiate between math puns and religious attacks: There are six main trigonometric functions: sine, cosine, tangent, cosecant, secant, and cotangent. The most well-known are the first three (the last three are reciprocals of the first three). The three-letter abbreviations sin, cos, and tan are often used when writing out trigonometric equations: "sin" is short for "sine", "cos" is short for "cosine", and "tan" is short for "tangent". When I said that the Pope understands sin, I turned "sin" into a double-meaning: Not only does the Pope understand traditional Biblical morality, but he also understands trigonometry because he has a math degree. It'd be like saying that he'd get especially bold "tan" lines if he went to the beach, or that he's so generous that he's happy to "cosine" my student loans. Have a wonderful day ![]()

Coffee is for closers. ![]() Isn't that plot about a toxic work enviroment real estate agency that ultimatively manages to lose all leads to competition and will face lawsuits over malpractice and business fraud? I mean the real goal is to make money of people who don't have money to buy land.. so it's building up the mentality of the biggest financial crisis of this century. Trump already said he made 90 deals in 90 days. Then he upped it to 200 deals- not saying with whom. Then the goons needed to downplay. It's 200 sub-deals within many deals considering certain goods. Or even 200 sub-deal proposals that haven't been closed at all but think about. The real news is with enough people clapping and giving him attention, he walks back his tariff idea. Dow still down 4000 pts (or 10%) from Trump waving his tariff-dick around. If he could just stop it completely, it will go up again.

Now they've finally recovered to be about as high as they were two months ago, which is still worse than they were three months ago. The stock market's volatility and lack of success during Trump's second term should not be counted as a win for him, but for all I know he might brag about deporting cancer-stricken American children too.

I think machismo is just a bunch of bullshit insecurity. But I'd love to be proven wrong! Someone needs to start a social media movement to inform machismos of how manly black men were and how well they defended their communities. The racism and insecurity among machismos will compel them to form their own version of Black Panthers overnight.

ICE deported 271,000 people during Biden's last year in office which is the most since the record high of 316,000 during Obama's second term. Why is this arrest in Massachusetts so much more deplorable than the 600,000 in the 2 years I mentioned or the millions of others? Is it just because it happened across your twitter feed? It's the crowd of people asking for identification and ICE agents response among various other reports about people calling ICE to settle personal grievances, masked agents, law enforcement pretty regularly breaking into the wrong houses, people pretending to be ICE to commit crimes, etc. Things also tend to heat up in the Summer, literally and metaphorically. But I'm one that was appalled by kids in cages under Obama too. the Obama administration Friday again defended family detention as necessary to send a message to Central American families that they are not welcome here—even though it concedes that most of them are fleeing persecution.

But that's also what I'm getting at. If you want to make the argument that Trump has brought ICE to a new level of nazi police or whatever you should be focusing specifically on escalations. Showing an instance of something that happened 271,000 times under Biden's last year and screaming "omg they're nazis now!" only weakens your argument.
