Its just a data harvesting operation, with a monetary incentive to get more people to participate. I assume to then later get bombarded with 'vote Trump' emails.

Because that makes the entire controversy a non-issue. Its a petition to support the 1st and 2nd amendment. Nothing even remotely tied to paying people to vote a certain way or register to vote. Its just a data harvesting operation, with a monetary incentive to get more people to participate. I assume to then later get bombarded with 'vote Trump' emails. It's not that the contents of the petition are sketchy - they're also mentioned in the BBC article - it's that you have to be registered to vote in order to The degree of separation that the petition provides will be keeping Musk safe from punishment because it would be very difficult to prove that there are people who are registering to vote purely so that they can get paid. But that will definitely be something that's happening, Musk is a (supposedly) smart man and he knows what he's doing.

So if Elon Musk pays people during a voting process, chances are it's something that should be illegal.

At the same time: why are these people like this? HOW did this happen? It's time for some really serious root cause analysis, because just brushing it off as "tsk, just impressionable, gullible, stupid, insane people" isn't going to cut it for the third election in a row. There are people thinking the hurricane was manmade to steal lithium. I don't understand reality any more. We need something better than "they're too far gone". I'm actually starting to feel quite anxious for you guys, no matter the outcome. Let's just hope everything stays more or less calm at the turn of the year.

Your attempt to simplify/combine it all turned it into a strawman. and ppl believing men can be women are the voice of reason? are you sure? I'm not sure what point you are trying to make or why you are bringing it up but your motivation can't be anything good.

I could write "democrats are schizo, out of touch, gullible, stupid socialists, who believe every nonsense like men can be women" thats just his opinion insulting maybe 50%+ of population, coz trump might win popular vote

Republicans are just plain wrong, if that theory is correct. I don’t know if that theory is correct or not, and I have no idea if some Republicans are trolling with purposely terrible leaders just to stick it to the libs, but they'd be hurting themselves too.

Why don't you ask Uldridge for clarification instead of posting something so flippant?

If Bill Maher is correct, people will support heinous pieces of shit, if we’re talking the extremes, for no particular pragmatic reason What point are you making? In a multiparty system you can exert leverage on x party by going to an extreme one in a particular election, or over a longer period. This phenomenon doesn’t really play out in a two party system. Of course but there are other intersections and complications, but broadly if you’re OK with voting in this way, you’re fine with what that candidate stands for.

This highlights the real problem of "You're either a hard left super liberal gay trans polysexual open border advocate, or you're a sexist facist enabling racist undemocratic republican" because you can't be anything else. Federal representation in the US seems like it sucks ass.
