No need to create an insane staged shooting conspiracy theory.

Trump is like a movie villain that keeps coming back. Multiple criminal indictments, ballot bans, assassination attempt. They’ve tried almost everything they can to get rid of him short of being appealing enough to get more votes.

The photo of Trump getting up and defiantly raising his fist in the air with a bloody face is probably going to raise a lot of funds for his campaign. If there’s one good thing to say about Trump it’s that he knows how to stick the landing.

I wonder if it's possible that this attack was carried out by Trump's wife's former gay lover. A lot about the official narrative here just isn't adding up. We're just expected to trust the official narratives and believe that no gay prostitutes were involved here.

This past January, Trump told the grieving families of an Iowa school shooting to "get over it" and just "move forward".
A bullet grazed Trump's ear? Get over it. Move forward.
Not to mention the tens of thousands of annual gun-related deaths and hundreds of annual mass shootings that Republicans don't even remotely care about, despite every single one of those gun victims being far less toxic and destructive to America than Trump. But god forbid the Worst American has the slightest run-in with gun violence, after evading rape after rape, and fraud after fraud, and stochastic terrorist threat after stochastic terrorist threat. Trump has way more blood on his hands than what came from his ear.
I'd much rather beat Trump in an election than have him assassinated, but he's absolutely the last person to deserve any sympathy. He mocks and hates and harms people for a living.
"Thoughts and prayers."

I think that fusion’s comment is more in regards to the on going comments between kwark/some others and GH which have gotten really out of hand. I feel really uncomfortable with the way conversations in this thread have gone and would politely request that we stay a bit more focused on the principals of this thread please.

"Law enforcement recovered an AR-style rifle at the scene, an AP source said." If true, the person was an amateur who had no idea what they were doing and/or did not have time to prepare. Why would you use an AR-style rifle for an assassination attempt? Of course, the reporting could be using "AR-style" to refer to any gun that is black, or something like that...

Maybe stop virtue signaling for a second. This shit matters. The harm he brings into this world matters. The women and children he sexually assaults matter. The network of alliances that have secured peace globally that he wants to dissolve matter.
You’re apparently much more interested in impressing strangers on the internet with your misguided opinions of what is classy than reality. Ivory tower elitists who wouldn’t last a minute in the real world.
Trump is the man who first called for second amendment enthusiasts to prevent his opponent taking office in the event they won the election. He’s been a champion of stochastic terrorism for 8 years, he’s the man who brought it into the mainstream. Maybe he’ll learn something from the experience and be a better man for it.

They have lived far too long in the echo chamber to start being rational now. Anyone that has spent even an hour or two interacting with them shouldnt be surprised that they cannot comprehend that there are consequences to trying to murder their political opponents.

Zeo is presumably from the timeline where it is Biden and Hillary leading chants of “lock him up”, making direct and indirect calls for political violence, and leading a literal violent attack on the capitol.

One of my takeaways so far is that we need stricter gun control so that any idiot who wants a gun can’t just go get one and try to assassinate Trump. I’m worried about copycat attempts.

That's just as much as a conspiracy theory as the theory this was a staged job, good job.
Like the dude who blasted Abe, there likely wasn't any real political consistency in the justification because the majority of people who actually act on this shit have no real political motivation. He just had a grievance for whatever reason and just acted on it.

Whatever happened to "When they go low, we go high"?
Half of them just got awakened from their slumber by the debate, none other than CNN decrying right wing 'conspiracy theories' about Bidens mental capacity a couple of days beforehand.
https://edition.cnn.com/2024/06/25/media/republican-debate-conspiracy-biden/index.html
Right-wing media figures are desperately pushing conspiracy theories about Biden ahead of the debate
(CNN) - Donald Trump’s allies in right-wing media have a problem ahead of CNN’s presidential debate: They’ve set the bar too low for President Joe Biden.
For years, and particularly over the last few months, MAGA Media has portrayed Biden as a senile, mentally incapacitated elderly man who cannot remember what he had for breakfast, let alone run the federal government. That might sound like an exaggeration to those who don’t tune in to Fox News or listen to talk radio, but it has been a real and constant theme in the right-wing media universe.
The debate, which will be one of the most-watched moments of the 2024 presidential campaign cycle, will allow audiences from coast-to-coast the opportunity to watch an unfiltered Biden go head-to-head with Trump for some 90 minutes. While the two will undoubtedly tangle over a host of issues, the stage also will afford Biden a unique opportunity to puncture the narrative he lacks the mental fitness to be commander-in-chief.
Hardly surprising CNN has just laid off another 100 staff.Of course now CNN is throwing him under the bus like every other outlet, we can start openly talking about how mentally impaired this guy is here when really he should never have been the nominee in 2020, he was in bad shape then.

God shut the fuck up.
Edit: Cable television is getting its ass kicked. CNN's political failings have little to do with its problems. There's a reason why they work Stephen A Smith like a dog over at ESPN.

The constitution says if you want a gun you’re allowed to have a gun. There’s no debate to be had.
It’ll be interesting to see which direction Trump goes though. He’s the man who famously said to seize the guns now and worry about legal justifications later. He’s no friend of the second amendment.

What direction is there to go? He's just going to ignore the gun in question and just promote his physical fitness like he really should.
