Was that before, after, or at exactly the same time that he was literally paying the public to eat out at restaurants including McDonalds and Subway?
He said that 'people should ride bikes more' as he was stuffing a Bic Mac down their throats.

Trump's much more likely to imitate Bolsonaro than Johnson on this regardless of how it affects him imo. It's telling that those three right wing populist leaders dismissive of the illness and scientific advice all caught it.
Didn't follow about the Britain Lose Weight stuff. That's thoroughly needed, eating (and drinking) hygiene is absolutely crap in the UK.

Not only was Herman Cain dead while Herman Cain's twitter tweeted, Herman Cain's twitter was downplaying the disease that killed Herman Cain.
It was something else.

A report from human rights watch showing how sadistic and brutal the New York police are. They literally trapped protestors and refused to let them leave until after the curfew, and then used the curfew as an excuse to beat the shit out of as many people as they could.

About 10 minutes before an 8 p.m. curfew – imposed after looting elsewhere in the city – scores of police officers surrounded and trapped the protesters – a tactic known as “kettling” – as they marched peacefully through Mott Haven. Just after 8 p.m., the police, unprovoked and without warning, moved in on the protesters, wielding batons, beating people from car tops, shoving them to the ground, and firing pepper spray into their faces before rounding up more than 250 people for arrest
“The New York City police blocked people from leaving before the curfew and then used the curfew as an excuse to beat, abuse, and arrest people who were protesting peacefully,” said Ida Sawyer, acting crisis and conflict director at Human Rights Watch and co-author of the report. “It was a planned operation with no justification that could cost New York taxpayers millions of dollars.”
No wonder people are burning cop shops down. They deserve it. At least most traditional criminal gangs just use violence to keep making money. The police do it because its fun for them.

I wonder how Trump supporters will react to Trump getting coronavirus. If Trump doesn't die from coronavirus, I'm sure he and his supporters will spin this into a "see? coronavirus is nothing to worry about!" perspective and embolden even more Americans to take our pandemic even less seriously.
Also, if Trump does die from coronavirus, can we call this a mass murder-suicide? Given that right now, Trump is responsible for about 213,000 deaths (and 7.5 million additionally sick) and then his hypothetical death?

Wow he actually caught it, going to be hard to keep downplaying this. Wonder how the "this is a hoax" folks are going to explain this one.
And yes he will get the best care in the entire world, and yes it will improve his chances but sometimes there is simply nothing that can be done and with his laundry list of complications and risk factors it could get bad.
I sincerely hope he doesn't die from it, the world is not done with Donald Trump.

It's absolutely insane. There must be officers in the hierarchy that see a bit more of the big picture; how do they let stuff like that fly? Obviously I'm not from the US but the way it seems to work is that the police have an us vs them mentality which as more of the population was joining anti-police protests, the more they feel it. The whole situation is so dangerous. I'm trying to understand the cops' mindset here and that seige mentality that the whole world is against them and they have to stick together to survive is probably something that spreads really easily in the US (especially given the number of guns on the street). Then it only takes a single commander who has that sadistic itch for violence and the rank and file would fall in line pretty quickly.

At this point I'm not even sure that this isn't some sort of PR gag so that Trump can say in a week or 2 that covid is no problem and he was right from the beginning...
I mean, do you guys honestly believe a word Trump and his administration say or do?

In this world, there are only two certainties: death and taxes. Even Donald Trump isn't exempt from [at least one of] these.

I demand to see Trump's long-form covid certificate.
But in all seriousness, I don't think they're lying about this. That would require an insane conspiracy with too many people staying silent. It would easily leak if this were all a stunt... right?

Yeah I really doubt Trump could initiate a conspiracy given the number of people around him who will get fired/already hate him. He can't even say something stupid and horrible like 'gas and maim the immigrants at border' without people coming out and reporting on it later.

False positive would be the plausible route for him to not actually have it. Only sorta hard to imagine them announcing he had it after a single positive test.

Others will do it for him claiming assassination attempts from the left. I guarantee it.

Yeah I had a very, very slight suspicion myself as he is just not to be trusted, lying is just in his DNA. And all things considered a reset of the campaign with an "october surprise" is what could shake up things - a shake up that's deeply needed.
But typing that, I just can't wrap my head around it and give it any credence. It just boils down to him basically conceding a disastrous covid response and putting a renewed spotlight on his really bad record.
Him calling everything is fine, a hoax by Dems. Then denying the severity and being underprepared despite having seen what had happend in China and Europe in the early stages.. Then minimizing and kicking the can to the governors, while sabotaging officials that were for strict measures and lockdowns(LIBERATE MICHIGAN, lol).
And long last contracting the virus himself while having to contend with 207k dead people and no end in sight - in the meantime blaming everyone else for failing and lauding himself for doing a "fantastic job - everyone said so!"
It is mental all that isn't it. We are pawns and spectators in some ungodly tragicomedy.

I can't see any good reason to lie about catching Covid. Trump was bragging shamelessly about a previous negative test, and I can't see how going in quarantine and showing "weakness" by testing positive can be beneficial for his campaign. I doubt he can get many pity votes.
Maybe some evil plot about him magically recovering without any symptoms, but even that seems far fetched, and if he indeed gets sick, that theory goes out the window.
