Yes this i was also wondering about, but i remember someone (forgot who) saying that everyone who was present at the debate got tested but maybe that didnt include the candidates or it did happen after the debate. Curious if this will effect the election, maybe it gets postponed as trump might not be able to campaing which would be a disdvantage ?

Or contradicted on countless occasions his own health advisors and made life of medical staff unnecessarily burdensome by empowering idiocy and reckless behaviour? I don't think so.

They're unlikely to detect that someone has covid if they've just caught it for example. And while this certainly has an impact on the election (though it's hard to quantify what it'll be) the election ain't getting postponed for this. You'd need both houses to agree to a delay, elections have not been postponed previously no matter the crisis, and the 20th amendment imposes a pretty hard deadline anyhow.

Will have to wait to see how this will develop but it doesnt seem unlikely to me that the elections will be postponed. There isnt a presedent for this or is there? People also have to see this in a broader context, the context of what is good for the nation considering the polarization that has been going on. Having the election with one side feeling they didnt have a fair chance would not help much. Anyway,i do hope he and his wife will be ok.

Trump has downplayed corona so much and be such an asshole with his experts and, well, everyone, that postponing is probably not really an option. Also asking to postpone when you are losing and have said and repeated that you would not accept a defeat and respect the democratic process is not going to be very well received. He can f... right off, frankly.

The usa badly needs fair elections, anything that would cast doubt on the outcome or leave one side with the feeling that they didnt have a fair chance would be pretty bad for the nation as a whole. Anyway,i do hope he and his wife will be ok. The precedent is that the election happens as scheduled no matter what, regardless of hurricanes, civil war, the Spanish flu, or a vice presidential candidate dying. Trump having to campaign from home for two weeks doesn't make for that compelling of a case for delaying in comparison (and whether the election could be postponed and also by how much is also a bit tricky). So how people feel about postponing isn't too relevant.

Most people I have talked to which caught the virus had an experience which was indeed like a mild flu. A couple had to stay in bed for 2 weeks straight, and the parents of somebody I know had to go to hospital for a long time. Anything can happen.

The variance across all ages is enormous, and he does not have any underlying conditions except age which I know of. Well he is morbidly obese which is one if the worst underlying condition you can have for COVID19 prognosis.

I find this extremely sad, because I have lived in US several times, I love the country and its people, but Trump have really done some bad bad shit.

There hasn't been a lot of clear proven benefit, due to the fact that all the data is confounded by all the other treatment that patients are getting (patients who can afford to get convalescent plasma can afford to get literally everything else so they pretty much always are). At this point, convalescent plasma is basically in the realm of "we know this is unlikely to do harm, and it's possible/probable that it helps, so we'll do it because we don't really have anything else to give". It's far from being a sure thing.

Not gonna claim that he became more humble, but BoJo made both lifestyle and policy changes after. Started this whole make britain lose some weight movement because he was convinced his own obesity contributed to how hard it hit him.

Trump's much more likely to imitate Bolsonaro than Johnson on this regardless of how it affects him imo.
