China is never going to go to war with US. Both economies would plummet unrecoverable levels. The reason China doesn't want anyone to invade NK is because they don't want the hassle of several hundred thousands to millions of immigrants. That doesn't mean they intend for one second to follow through.

NK has more of the vibe of the country always starving, using the brinkmanship for goodies, and big brother China with the hand on and off the shoulder.
Anyways, three cheers for Bolton and congratulations to Trump.

There's also a difference between nuclear war and regular war btw. One doesn't necessarily include the other.
That said, we're not talking about the bet you or me is willing to make, it's the bet Trump is stupid enough to make.

China would support NK, just like they did in the 1950s when we had the bomb.

What do you think of the idea of people who think a war is a good idea getting drafted before anyone else?

Israel will not support a war with Iran, it is stupids ass thinking of anyone who believes this for a second. Israel actual defense is never fight a war unless it a physical threat to the state i.e. Six Day war scenario. Unless a knife is at their throat.

The whole reason North Korea still exists in the first place is because China sent hundreds of thousands of troops to stop the US the last time they invaded the northern part of Korea so what makes you say this? And China is way stronger now than back in the 50's

Imagine a world where we go to war with North Korea, they don't do the whole mutually assured destruction thing, surrender, and Trump is made into a war hero. November comes around and the GOP secures a super majority.

Also, wars have never really done well for stopping terrorism, quite the opposite. That said looking at history before deciding who to go to war to is boring so why bother.

Reality is stranger than fiction. Russia has been courting a relationship with Bolton too.

It just seems like Trump is hung up on the trade deficit issue. I understand that the US has a huge trade deficit with other countries, especially China, but I guess I don't know why that is such a big deal. Who cares? It seems like he is trying to rattle these other countries that America trades with for no reason other than to shake things up a bit and make sure that the US is getting a good deal in terms of trading power.

When hundreds of thousands, if not many more, die or suffer indirectly as a result of whatever the sam-hell it is this madman intends to do, please remember your cheers.
And when you remember, please use the fullest extent of your imagination. Imagine a mother hearing their child was killed by an explosive in a fight they weren't involved in, and how they'd process that. How every single day they'd wake up and think to check on them, make breakfast, whatever it is, only to realise their child is gone. Now imagine that for a different mother every single night for the rest of your life, because it's not even a blip on the radar compared to the potential damage someone like Bolton might do.
I must admit fault here, I literally cannot understand your value system. To cheer for Bolton seems antithetical to any notion of one I could imagine having. I mean this as a serious inquiry, what is it that makes you cheer for this? What do you imagine coming of it that you perceive as good, and why is that good? And how does it mitigate the obvious evil?

The Dow sank over 700 points on trade war fears. Wonder what it be like tomorrow in John Bolton news. Only stocks that will rise are defense stocks I imagine.

Maybe, but given his last post I'm not inclined towards giving benefit of doubt:

I could go over my understanding of his rhetoric/claim it if that would help.
at any rate he's doing it because it plays well to his base, not because there's an actual sound plan to it. and the US already gets good deals in terms of its trading power, trump just has no understanding of how international trade deals or even basic economics work (or he's conveniently ignoring it at any rate). and he's already taken/supported taking other actions that make the trade deficit substantially worse.

Oh, I honestly wasn't aware that the nuclear clock had been set to 2 minutes to midnight in January (which is the lowest it has been since 1953). This is surely not going to improve things in that regard at all.

And after all the Trump propaganda has been proven for the lies and fiction they were, you still belive Hillary was intending to go to war. Come on man. There is an actual real chance of Trump going to war in a bit, and you're still going: "buh Hillary"
