I looked it up and my ballot had 14 total candidates, so I think the 6 - 7 on average is probably right, maybe even conservative since I'd figure a rich state like Virginia would be one of the states to update their ballots, but Iunno.

Judge orders Hillary Clinton deposition in email flap. "Even years after the FBI investigation, the slow trickle of new emails has yet to be explained," Lamberth wrote. He blasted Clinton's prior answers given in response to another judge's order as "incomplete, unhelpful, or cursory, at best."
Clinton was previously required to submit a sworn written statement about her email use, but the deposition—if it takes place—would be the first time she has had to submit to live questioning under oath on the subject.

And, last I heard, she's still dodging Gabbard's 50m defamation lawsuit.

You can't update your ballots a day or two before the election. Not a realistic expectation.

American voting technology never fails to impress.
Are the people technically out? If one of the retired candidatea would fet 15%, what would happen?

They get delegates that are 'obligated' to vote for the candidate they are a delegate for on the first ballot, then they are 'released' to vote for anyone (doesn't even have to be a politician).
EDIT: National delegates (the ones that go to the national convention) are usually chosen after the states' primary/caucus by various means though. If you remember 2016 there were machinations of trying to plant "Trump delegates" that would be willing to support a different candidate at the convention but that ultimately never had a chance once Trump wrapped up the needed delegates to secure it on the first ballot.
So Pete's Iowa delegates will have to vote for Pete on the first ballot but then they can listen to Pete and vote Joe or do their own thing and vote for Beyonce if they want.

Biden did way better than I thought he would on Super Tuesday, i'll say that much.

So even if you, like me, were hoping for and supporting Bernie. You still have to get out there and vote for Biden because it matters in a big tangible way. The supreme court is weighing in on Roe again in regards to a Louisiana abortion law. https://www.npr.org/2020/03/04/807923122/beginning-of-the-end-for-roe-supreme-court-weighs-louisiana-abortion-law If you knew how many times i tried, to avail to make that argument. I give you minutes before you get told that the dems are part of the problem and that Trump and Hillary (sorry,Joe) are two badgers from the same hill working for the oligarchs and the neoliberal elite.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of Biden and would much prefer Sanders, but I'm fine if he wins. And while Hillary was not great, the world would be a better place and america's future a lot brighter had she won that election. Outside the immense damage Trump and his cronies have done, the SC absolute awfulness will have repercussions for decades.

It wasn't obvious to me that you prefered Sanders to Biden. What is it that you like more about him?

Biff has pretty consistently vocalized support for social democracy. He just also think that a leftist should consider the middle far preferable to the far right.

I'm with MLK jr. and his white moderate commentary on that one

I think if Al Gore had won instead of GWB, the world would be a considerably better place today.

He did win it, but he gave away the presidency because he's a moderate neoliberal that prefers negative peace to positive peace
the [Oppressed] great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, [or Trump], but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice;
who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the [oppressed] to wait for a "more convenient season."
