Man, someone please treat this like an LR thread, so I can read updates. I will try to though it looks like a few people are. I'm glued to the CBC coverage so I'll post updates sporadically I suppose.

As I stated a couple pages ago, since 1988, all majorities have been 36.5-43% of the popular vote. Polls here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opinion_polling_in_the_Canadian_federal_election,_2015 Indicate a 37% popular vote for the liberals. I think a majority happening is somewhere in the 50-60% range.

edit: Seeing current results, this is good if you're a conservative though, there are so many wasted Liberal votes in the east.

Which is unfortunate but thats how it is. I know atleast 50 mcgill grads close friends, friends of friends etc etc, all of them love Montreal and a grand total of 0 still live in Quebec. That should give you an idea. I won't blame you for giving me your opinion in a civil manner. It makes me a bit sad that this is the image that's projected.

Yeah, I'm very excited, the conservatives got the late game in this election, it's fun to watch. Anyway, I'm heading out for an hour or so. I'm enjoying watching that one blue dot on the east (TOBIQUE-MACTAQUAC), seeing whether conservatives can secure one seat there. Every single seat will be a big deal this time around imo.

Well that actually sucks. I grew up in Halifax, and have interacted with her. She's great, she's a genuinely ethical person who entered politics with a strong reputation as a community organizer/activist, she built her support base naturally by being awesome working at the Dalhousie Legal Aid clinic. She was a strong, ethical female leader in Canadian politics, and parliament is worse off without her. Her losing her seat makes tonight bittersweet, as I am still stoked to see Harper go. But I am really sad to see her go, as well.
