Just minutes ago when I took it out of the jar, the bud had a pretty nondescript aroma. As soon as I started breaking it apart though, I struggled with the stickiness and I was hit by an almost overpowering aroma reminescent of berries. The "monster" joint is now ready, and will hopefully be an improvement over what I had to rely upon for the past year and a half, aka regular street "M39". All that is left to do now is prepare the after takeoff brunch for my expected guests ^_^ I wish you all a great saturday! | ||

I haven't noticed any of that berry smell to come out until around 2 months of curing, way too long for me =/ | ||

None of us noticed any berry "taste", it did however taste fresh and "piney". Are you saying the berry taste takes a 2 months+ curing? Then in my frustration I took a knife sharpener and started pushing the cork - voila, went inside in 10 seconds but there was a minor explosion of wine. Poured out a cup to get rid of the floating debris from my fumbling with the cork, and now - yeeahhhh, wine at last wooooot! | ||

I guess I'll find out but I expected it to be much shorter :/ One of the mother/father's in BD is DJ shorts blueberry so if you're going through different phenos, likely you'll eventually land on one that has the terpenes carried over into the blue dream. I currently am running snoops cut of BD, personally my experiences with it go: 1st week of drying - smells like fresh cut lawn 1-2nd week drying, sugar leaves removed - smells sweet, very sugary sweet almost with a nice pine scent. 1st week of curing - leafy smell comes back 2nd week of curing - sugary smell has returned and bud smokes similarly At around the 4th to 5th week of curing though I notice that the blueberry smell starts to come out but taste still hasn't made it. By around the 6th to last week of cure - bud tastes and smells like blueberries with that sugary smell as a backdrop. Honestly, as much as I love this strain I'm culling it after this round purely due to the curing process and lack of smell before it gets its berry aroma. I'm replacing it with the blueberry parent instead. My 2 cents at least Good luck to ya and happy gardening mate. Edit: I should also mention, only 2 out of my 7 ladies (all different seeds / different phenos) came out having the genes for that specific terpene. | ||

Very nice description thanks. The sample was given rather short drying/curing period. The high was incredible but the taste was not quite what I wanted. I have 1 plant cut down and currently drying, 2nd plant gets the knife this week end. Given the potency it should last long enough to experience the various phases you described. I dont mind the piney taste but I would really love to get that smooth and fruit savored smoke. Afaik potency and effect (euphorizing) are relatively similar between BD and blueberry altough BD prolly yields less and grows slower! Unfortunatly I'm not sure the gf will ever allow a 2nd grow T.T Complaining of smell non stop and concerned about "ruining" her career over getting caught growing 2 shrubs -_- Oh well  | ||

Surprisingly enough, blue dream yields quite a bit more due to the other parent blueberry was crossed with. Traditional haze has a strong jungle like growth look to her and puts out pounds given proper flowering time. Blueberry is a quick flowering strain with amazing flowers but low yield; BB's mainly for breeding purposes, but what the hay, I want some good tasting bud =P. Move to a MMJ state or a legal state and you'll be good | ||
