Keep on being judgemental.
I wonder what percentage of the world drinks alcohol, a far more damaging, dangerous, and unforgiving drug than marijuana... yet those of us that choose to enjoy the safer, healthier, and more enjoyable drug get labeled as "junkies," akin to someone smoking meth at 4am in a back alley to get their fix that they're hopelessly addicted to.
Keep on sippin on your propaganda buddy
I'm passed out, in debt, homeless and alone even as we speak.

Marijuana is medicine google "Rick Simpson run from the cure" if you haven't seen it already. My buddy's father had lung cancer and is recovering incredibly from stage 3 lung cancer from using the weed oil exactly like in the movie. It is not a hoax, it really is medicine.

Truth.
What's a hoax is the vice grip governments have on the population's balls telling them at every opportunity that this glorious god-given + Show Spoiler +
(even though I don't believe in god, I think you guys know what I mean)
natural plant (which heals some of the most incurable ailments known to man such as some forms of cancer) is actually a diabolical, evil, and inherently damaging schedule 1 drug.
Did you guys know that part of the definition of a schedule 1 drug is that it has literally no positive medical benefits whatsoever. Regardless of whether you believe the cancer-curing stories or not, it's generally accepted that cannabis helps with nausea and lack of appetite and that chemotherapy patients use it to help with these unpleasant side-effects of the chemo.
How comical is it that our government tries to tell us with a straight face that cannabis is more harmful than cocaine or methamphetamine (schedule 2 drugs)? I also find it a testament to how corrupt our government is that neither alcohol nor tobacco/nicotine are even listed a scheduled drugs, implying they aren't drugs at all, when clearly both are (and have been proven to be) FAR more damaging and prone to abuse than cannabis.
Bit of a long rant, but sometimes I get worked up when I think about how ridiculously hypocritical and corrupt our government is when it wants to be.
Schedule I Controlled Substances This is the definition from the US Department of Justice for a Schedule I Controlled Substance
Substances in this schedule have a high potential for abuse, have no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States, and there is a lack of accepted safety for use of the drug or other substance under medical supervision. Some examples of substances listed in schedule I are: heroin, lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), marijuana (cannabis), peyote, methaqualone, and 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (“ecstasy”).
have no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States
The fact that this is in there and they continue to keep cannabis as a Schedule 1 drug shows how little the US actually gives a shit about what their laws truly state. Over 1/3 of the states in this country now have legalized medical marijuana as a legitimate treatment for a wide variety of ailments, and yet the US government pretends cannabis has NO medical use?
Really grinds my gears. Good thing I've got a drug that helps with that

Methamphetamine is sometimes (rarely) used to treat ADHD. Cocaine is used as a local anesthetic.
Schedule 1 vs Schedule 2 has nothing to do with how harmful they are, it has to do with if it has any medical use (according to the government)
1: Do you seriously believe they don't use that for propaganda? In health class, they tell you "it's a schedule 1 drug, the worst kind," etc. 2: It also has to do with the "abuse potential." Cannabis on the same scale of abuse with meth? cocaine? Good joke 3: It also has to do with the "lack of accepted safety for use of the drug or other substance under medical supervision." Cause after thousands and thousands and thousands of years of humans smoking and extracting cannabis without a single documented related death, it's not safe even under medical supervision right?
Comical, and nitpicky anyways. Schedule I drugs have the highest possible sentence available. Imagine if they reclassified cannabis to Schedule III or IV, etc. Think of the thousands of incarcerated individuals our taxpayer dollars are paying for to stay in jails over cannabis being improperly classified as Schedule I. It's unacceptable and is quite clearly a blatant lie and contradiction from the government to classify such a harmless, medically beneficial drug this way when it so clearly has been accepted as legitimate medicine around the globe and in over 17 states already.
edit: Oh by the way I was running low on my current strains so I opened up some old strains I'd saved a nug or two of and tried some of my old Purple Mr Nice Guy. Hooooolllllyy shit. I had forgotten how ridiculously pungent this strain is. It smells hands down better than any other strain I've personally ever had (always the smell I think of when watching pineapple express and the dealer's like "it's like god's vagina" "dude I wanna live in here"). Interestingly though I didn't get much of the smell until I ground it, so I guess the outside of the bud got dried out, but a lot of the smell was still trapped inside with the resin.

1. Well that's due to misinformation. 2. yeah that's bullshit 3. true as well
I'm not saying that Cannabis belongs in Schedule 1
I'm just explaining the reasoning behind the government's scheduling process.

I don't think there really is "reasoning" though. Its an old law, only passed because of a few greedy fucks. When you actually learn about the history and culture of weed (especially in other countries like India), its really fucking depressing the state that it is in today. And the stigma it creates not only affects recreational users, but also affects peoples thoughts about the use of Hemp and other cannabis related products. Its a freakin joke, you can go to prison for practically life for having weed. Its a joke that they ever had a Weed Tax, that was designed to imprison people for having weed, regardless of whether they tried to follow regulation (you were supposed to get stamps for your weed, it was illegal to have weed without the stamp, but impossible to get the stamp without the weed). Its like when the government decided to lethally poison alcohol during the prohibition. "Reasoning" or Insanity.
I'm also willing to bet that the only reason weed isn't completely legal in California (state law) is because drug dealers are afraid of loosing money. Great.

Drug dealers don't have anything to do with the reason weed is still illegal. It's mostly about people who profit from the drug prohibition industry: DEA, law enforcement in general, drug testing companies, prison guards, etc. Also social stigmas and misinformation play a large part. Sure, there are plenty of drug dealers who want it to stay illegal so they can continue to turn a large profit but they aren't making a notable difference.
That and the stigma really prevents politicians from pushing towards marijuana-friendly policies, as it will pretty much ruin their public image with anyone who buys into the fear (a surprisingly large amount of people)
Okay I just smoked a big bowl and this might not be the the place to post it but since I'm high, here is where I am, but I just watched this video and oh my god!! I'm so amazed by this xD How they even came up with the idea... I really just sat here and was in a shock because it really works haha
Just smoked over an eighth of danks because my buddy has is court hearing tomorrow and will be put on probation. Could not have done it without the Sheldon Black beaker based bong of course.
