Indeed, I was using a chillum and the match kept going out as I breathed in. Even if it was a really light breath.

I smoke with matches all the time because i like the taste, i don't see how you can have trouble with them.

Yeah that happens to me but I just use two matches at a time and they don't go out.

Really? Whenever I am at home, I almost always use matches. Don't know, it just feels more natural to me maybe.

And yeah, it's usually for bongs/bowls.
