You left out Ozzy, Foo Fighters and Video Games Live. Blink-182 was a last minute find due to cancellations (their tour dates lined up and had an extra day).

Ffs folks ![]() Why is it that people older and no doubt wiser than me across the world still haven't come to the realisation that there is not one act you could book that would please everyone, NOT ONE!! Yep. Look at every BlizzCon band announcement, the threads look the same. A band that will play for 90 minutes, that I do not listen to, does not mean BlizzCon is a bust and I will lose out on the entire weekend. Swag, people, panels, new announcements, WCS, cheering on TopDong, after parties, etc. That is what you go to BlizzCon for. Why would I buy a ticket for a concert I did not know who was playing yet? Seems so silly to argue about it. There are other music acts happening around the area over the week if you really want something else.

Before I wanted to go because it was Blizzcon, good shit always goes down there. Now, I feel physically compelled to go, to get up and start walking there now, so I'm pissed that I can't. GG world.

WoW bores me to tears. but, Blizzard's gotta take care of its best customers.

Metallica's one of my favorite bands and their first 4 albums are 4 of my favorites, but their era was in the 1980s, really. A couple decent tracks on Death Magnetic doesn't make up for the 90s and 2000s and Lulu.Other old thrash metal bands are still putting out really good albums at least, even in the 2010s. Megadeth's "Endgame", Sodom's "In War and Pieces", Kreator's "Phantom Antichrist", Testament's Dark Roots, etc. all from 2010 onward and are really solid, even decades after "Master of Puppets" and "Rust in Peace".

And there are all kinds of arguments for why Metallica is more suited to the games, particularly when one of those games is WoW. In then end they don't have to match them up at all, they can pick whoever they want. In general it really bugs me when everyone gets upset because a large group decides to do something that isn't the thing they want them to do. Blizzard couldn't listen to, and please, everyone, even if they wanted to. It's their event, they can do whatever the hell they want, enjoy it or don't partake.
