My prediction: They vote to leave the UK then in about 5 years time there's a rise in right wing Scottish nationalism because they're sick of all the English refugees being such a drain on all their public services and finances, so they also vote to leave the EU.

If you can't see how the Brexit debate was linked to ideas of racism/xenophobia, then you're blind. And how can you tell if people are racist/xenophobic for wanting better immigration controls? Wouldn't that depend on their reasons for wanting a better immigration system, or are you one of those people that think mass uncontrolled immigration is a good thing. There could be many reasons why people have a problem with the way immigration is at the moment, and it doesn't have to be racism or whatever else. I have always been pro immigration myself, i do believe its good for the economy, however there is a limit. So as i said, people shouting the words racism without any evidence are mindboggling, it does nothing but try to shut down the debate.

Because it is exactly only idiots, who consider "racism/xenophobia" and "being against an uncontrolled immigration" as synonyms.

It seems like you're the blind one to what a slippery slope fallacy that is.

Now Britain is a completely different story, i have never seen people so open to LGBT community or ethnic minorities, its a great thing to be a part of. Not saying there is no racism, you're always going to get the odd idiots but to say that people voted Brexit because they don't like people of a certain skin colour is laughable, and it has no basis. If Liberals spent their time accusing actual racists of racism we would all be a lot better off and wouldn't need these endless debates.

The fact that immigrants and mostly the economic immigrants are not liked by big chunk of the modern societies has nothing to do with racism as pointed few times in this thread.

"Native" Germans are dying out. What is "disastrous" about importing human resources from other countries? The leaders dont care about the ancestry of the citizens. What they care about is cheap labourers who do as they are told. If the old population gets lazy, get a new population. This is perhaps the smartest move they could have made. The immigrants will work cheap jobs with comparatively bad conditions and they will be thankful for that. Its the ultimate win for the german society.

Fantastic ![]() Whats sad to see is an entire generation of kids who don't know what it means to have freedom doesn't understand why you'd even want it in the first place. Their great-grandfathers died fighting for sovereignty, what luck you must have to live in an age were you only have to tick a box for freedom.
