This new album had a kinda weird effect on me.
At first i wasn't really fully pleased,i felt something was left you,but i kept listening it more and more and today i love it.
I don't like only a few track (02-Game of love,too slow killmenow.png 04.Within,can't stand it and 10-Motherboard,dunno why it feels wrong )

All the other tracks are great,really.

Why do musicians like to have sections of people talking in their songs?

I like the music of Giorgio by Moroder...but having to listen to his life story every time i want to hear it is incredibly annoying.

Contact isn't AS bad but same applies..

I felt exactly the same way, except Motherboard was my favorite song on the first listen and I still really like it. It is not what I expected at all, even after the single was released, and that is why i think it takes a few times to really get into it. Now i think it is one of the best albums to come out in years, and i hope that it inspires a whole new genere of prog-disco!

The album is incredible BAD. And not because "omg this is not daft punk" "omg I was expecting something else". No. It's just ... BAD without having any expectation.

If I start the album with track 3 everything is good. "Give life back to music" and "the game of love" are just not mine but afterwards it's a wonderful album to relax to. I love "Giorgio by Moroder" but "Touch" and "Contact" aren't too far behind.

Pretty disappointing. Half of it sounds like any other Daft Punk album, the other half is just melodies taken from other songs with the intention of letting nobody notice.

the track get lucky came on on the radio before I knew it was daft punk. The radio presenter prefaced it by saying 'this is such a tune!' and I was like o.O what the fuck is this shit, some mid 90's retro disco bullshit? But I did find it was pretty catchy and then the vocoder appeared and I was like oh right it's DP, this vocoder part is pretty coo'

I've listened through a couple times, wow, this album is in my opinion their best apart from Discovery, Giorgio by Moroder, Lose Yourself to Dance, and Instant Crush are all amazing and the album version of Get Lucky is far more enjoyable than the radio edit. The guitar playing throughout the album is phenomenal and the influences from other genres they use are really well placed.

To anyone who is saying that they prefer DP's 'older stuff' all I can say is that you can't have really listened to DP too much, half of Random Access Memories is totally reminiscent of older songs like Face to Face, Too Long and Digital Love which, again in my opinion, are some of their best.

I've currently got the album as 5 stars in iTunes and I have to say I'm glad they didn't go back to making songs that sound just like their old ones (progression is good, no matter how good Discovery, Human After All and Homework were).

I listened to the album a few times and didn't like it much. My favourite song is the fan remix of get lucky where it sounds like michael jackson. Actually, I found the covers way better than anything on the actual album lol, so I guess I like it via proxy? It'll never top the 2 hour music video they made with Disney a few years back though.
