I really want to see how they do that song live. I'm almost certain that beat in Giorgio isn't a drum machine, but an actual drummer.

should listen to "battlestar galactica". An epic 17 minute adventure in itself.

Didn't they already say that this album wouldn't be toured?

Some source said all of the drums except on Doin' It Right and 1 other song were played live.
Also supposedly they only used 1 synthesizer throughout the entire album and the rest was live instrumentation, though I'd be amazed if that was true given the wide variety of different electronic sounds throughout the album - what amount of screwing with settings would it take to get the same mellow synth that played the melody of Giorgio and the end of Get Lucky to make those crazy sounds at the end of Contact?

I used to hate like 4-5 songs.
I hated: Game of Lovem Touch, Motherboard, Beyond.
After re listening at this point I kinda really like everything.
Motherboard still a little weird to listen to but everything was enjoyable as background music while playing sc all day
Definitely glad I gave Daft Punk some money, they deserve it. Hope they keep producing music.

They have to develop the setlist, visuals, stage, etc of an act comparable in scope to alive 2007.
After removing 'Touch' from my playlist the album has become quite good, but it's no discovery.

They best tour for 2017, can't be having them fucking up a system they clearly HAVE to stick too (1997/2007)

My fav three tracks of RAM: Game of Love, Lose yourself to dance, doin' it right.

I'm sorry but I simply cannot understand what's good about Doing it right. Reading this thread I've noticed that people really enjoy it, so I've been trying to appreciate this song for 2 days now, and find what's appealing about it. Surely, I must be missing something. The instrumental is extremely generic and awfully repetitive. I mean this sounds like the kind of stuff I used to make with Fruity Loops when I was 15. Not to mention the singing is absolutely horrendous and obnoxious. Surely I'm not the only one to have noticed how annoyingly bad this song is?
Can you people tell me what's so good about this track? Not trying to troll here. I've been listening to music for 15-20 years, I have very eclectic tastes and I can appreciate various genres. I enjoy classical, hip hop, trash metal, house, country, you name it. As long as it's good, I'll listen to it. But this "doin it right" song? I simply can't see what's good about it.

Yeah I don't know where the hype is about Doin' It Right... but tastes man, We shouldn't discuss it.
For me personally, my fav track is Instant Crush.
|
tried to listen to the album for several hours these last days... and i really cant enjoy it at all. I wasnt really that hyped in the first place, but still reaaaaally disappointed by the outcome anyways.
|
I dunno I really like Doin' It Right haha. Just personal preference I guess.
|
I just had a quick peek and all I could this of is "wow, this is really bad", haha. I guess I will re-evaluate my opinion after a detailed listening to the whole album but so far I am rather disappointed. I have still hopes to change my mind though as this has happened from time to time that some music is kind of an acquired taste. :D

Keep listening. This was exactly my first response. I really disliked it, you can find my posts. I am truly addicted to the album right now, there are only about 3/4 songs I really don't like. The rest I love. Once you get past the initial disappointment that it isn't the Daft Punk you thought it was going to be you will hear amazing music.

It's just a very addictive tune to me rofl. It's indeed the least complex song on the album. I liked it the first couple of times I heard it but now it's getting a bit repetitive. Anybody really likes Within? I love the piano.

So what's your point? You can just press "PLAY" and real drums that were recorded will play just like anything else.

Also that extended intro part for Get Lucky is indeed awesome as someone mentioned previously.

They should just release it everywhere if they want people to actually listen to their music(and not pirate it).
And no, I will not pirate it. I will suffer and wait :p What do you mean? Atm you can listen to it for free on iTunes, no need to preorder. I see, thank you for the information! *grabs my wife's mac* Last time I installed iTunes it made my computer cry and installed a bunch of extra crap. lol, computers might not be for you then... PS on my 7-8th listen and besides the ending of within and contact i love everything.
I built my own computer and work as a developer/architect?
iTunes is not exactly lightweight and likes to install additional crap on your computer. This is well known and has nothing to do with me other than me being selective on what I put on a PC.
If others were selective like that maybe I would not spend every other weekend helping other peeps out :p
I'll just wait for it to come elsewhere, no worries.
