Only one I have is a giving-up sort of moment. Sucking terribly at sc2, saying fuck it I waste too much time on this and I really don't care to spend time to get better (will take forever because of how bad I am anyway lol), and tossing it. I'll often find a game, get really into it, play hours on end for several days in a row, realize how stupid I am for wasting time on a game just to feel guilty in the end instead of having fun, then drop it. But...thing with SC is that it's games at a time so I generally don't look at yourself as in an RPG, for instance, and get that "oh shit I've dropped x-hundred hours into this for some pixels moment (just my personal reaction, ofc lots of people enjoy RPGs and they're fine with it). Instead, I would just keep playing for the win =P | ||

We where picking up 3 craypots we'd left the day before. The bloody motor would not idle in gear, so when engaging gear you had to quickly rev the motor. Anyway. We'd picked up 2 pots and heading to the 3rd. It was pretty close to the 2' waves breaking onto the reef. I was at the bow holding the 2 pots. My brother in the middle and Les at the motor. We get close to the buoy and the motor cuts out. Les is trying to start it. Pulling frantically at the rope. He says we're going to drift into the reef. I can hear the panic starting to rise in his voice. So I Say "Fuck IT". I say to my bro. "You get up here and hold these pots." I point to Les. "Get out of the way" So I go back and give the starter rope a mighty yank and the motor starts. We are about 5 feet from the waves. I must admit the adrenalin was pumping that time and a nice couple of crays. | ||
