We didn't need to use those bombs. The war was over, the Japanese were simply holding off surrendering to broker a better deal to keep the emperor in power. No mainland invasion of Japan was needed. Saying two nuclear bombs saved lives is a fallacy taught in our education system. It is also one of the most ignorant statements about history ever.
I'll pm you since this is not the appropriate forum for this discussion.

Definitely a joke.
Tell me when NK can actually feed its own people, then we can start actually taking their bs seriously.

If North Korea ever launched a nuclear attack, they'd probably end up nuking themselves.

A lot of "MURICA" patriots in here.
Granted, the military power of the US is far superior to that of North Korea, but any nuclear threat - or rather, any nuclear conflict - is going to cause massive loss of life and destruction on an unheard of scale. Perhaps you should be a little more considerate/concerned than "lol those silly Koreans"...

This, or even more likely they'll end up having a nuke accident which will pretty much be the end for their ruling system.

Activision Gaming Inc. blocked that video from another source. I think they used footage from MW or something.
I'm not getting why they chose that music to go in the background lol

North Korea has been threatening us for years now. With little progress being made on their part to better their country, why should we take this more seriously than the past threats/statements?
No doubt that if North Korea ever does decide to go off the deep end and fire a missile at us, that a good deal of life will be lost. But nothing suggests that they are actually going to attack this time.

On topic though, how often does NK flex nuts about this sort of shit, anyway? It just seems like every few months they have some new shit to intimidate people with (and by that, I mean the same shit that really isn't that intimidating, except maybe for those in the area who might get hit with their shitty weapons of (most likely moderate) destruction.)

Kinda give props to NK to stand up to usa.. Do you see any weak country do that? It's pretty amazing. It's also funny how china can make 1000x nukes and usa won't say a thing but weak country like nk makes 1 nuke usa goes crazy

With the unsuccessful launch of their rockets, it's not a real concern to me or the rest of the world for that matter. They don't have the resources to even attempt a war with anyone even if it came down to it.

North Korea will never attack us, that would be the dumbest possible thing they could do.

"standing up" to what exactly? It's all just craziness. The US has been one of the most active countries in the world to actually try and bring peaceful compromise to NK, as seen by the fact that it constantly throws food at them for free, sends diplomats, urges for talks, etc. Yet they are their "arch enemy"? Who ISNT an enemy to them by their terms, besides China which is unpleasantly just stuck with them? Do they think every other country on Earth would be quite content with them having nuclear weapons? NK is insane and lashing out at anything that thinks will get them attention or more food (from their arch enemy).

their last launch was success. ironically north korea joined the "space club" before south korea XD

China's far closer to NK than the U.S is. I feel the Chinese should be the ones to initiate any diplomacy, aid, or aggression (though of course I pray that there is a peaceful solution to NK's problems if at all possible).
That said, the world should be prepared to give them steel if North Korea actually does point a missile at a nation and fires.

We should just take them over and give them to South Korea, if for no other reason than so I can stop hearing about all their shenanigans, and maybe so that the commoners there can have some unbiased media (or less biased).

Lol, NK is not seriously standing up for itself. This is similar to how a small dog starts barking its head off whenever someone new walks into the room. Little guy wants all the attention

I think they've shown enough capability for long-range weapons, and nuclear tests, that it should be taken seriously. So I'm glad that the UN is considering taking much more serious action if they decide to do further testing. But I think that would just embolden N. Korea more, and its population which will be told the US is blocking food imports (hit them where it hurts, so I'm guessing food). So then the population would be totally onside with their government against the evil US creating sanctions that are causing havoc in their country...and that kind of extremism could lead to a nuclear launch.
Also if their new leader is mentally unstable...well you add that all together and you have a possible nuclear launch at the US. I wouldn't feel comfortable guaranteeing that NK couldn't launch a nuke, or relying on the sanity of their leadership in terms of not nuking a country that has hundreds of its own nukes to reply with. The fact that these weapons are so overwhelmingly destructive is reason to not treat this as a joke.
Every year their technology may be getting more and more advanced, the sanctions having stronger and stronger effects on their desire for retribution...eventually there could be a tipping point where everything goes wrong. You can't just assume the future will be like the past, and N. Korea will be forever impotent. Its probably the most dangerous assumption you can make, that the future will always be like the past, and North Korea will never attack anyone

It's only because their right next to SK. They could get a missile to hit Seoul before we could do anything about it. Sk is a US ally, and very populated. We can't do anything until they invent a laser that can shoot a nuke before it hits something (Star Wars-esque). They're terrorists basically holding SK hostage. Don't give them props...
