No RBA in cosmo's run either.

As long as the hookshot is extended you're invulnerable. Also, even if the run is a world record compared to the previous run, it is possible to not be accepted based on poor execution.

This is the reason SDA gives, but really it's because SDA uses an outdated approval system that's subject to the whim of a small handful of reviewers. Siglemic spent months grinding out SM64 to get a ridiculously optimized 1:44 SM64 run, but SDA still lists his 1:48 run from a year and a half ago which is just lol Can't fault SDA for Sig not submitting an updated run yet. Often runners will submit their run once they're finished with the game. Same reason that cosmo doesn't have any runs on the site, and a number of people who race games don't have submitted runs, because they plan to continue playing and obsoleting their old runs.

People don't submit runs to SDA because they take 6 months to verify them. By the time they get accepted they're outdated.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that a lot of top speedrunners don't take SDA seriously anymore. I won't name names but some of them have very strong opinions on the matter e: And I mean really strong. And also about Mike Yeah not many people seem to speak favorably of Mike.

And also about Mike This was always the impression I get when watching most/many speedrunners these days as well. As of now, the only universal praise SDA gets is for this very event (AGDQ!) that they always put a ton of effort into. It's actually really quite sad that the speedrunning community isn't a bit more unified on this topic. Having a true central location (as TL/Liquipedia is for competitive SC) would be such a boon to the community. I often forget just how spoiled we are here at TL to have Liquipedia and TLPD as these nearly infallible resources for any fact about the scene you might want to know.
