Thanks for the sanity break. It's straight up funny, as opposed to some call to violence. You can call it painful in the larger context since if follows so soon after his idiotic 'Morning Joe' rant. Like I was reading earlier, the operative term is symbiosis. Trump does his shit, media does the same back, everybody gets better ratings, both bases cheer.
I don't know if he got lucky directing his narcissism cannon at truly vile characters, or his history in reality TV/personal contacts just taught him how reviled the political journalism class is to the right in America.

Trump profits by enriching himself at the cost of the dignity of the office of the President and the USA's standing in the world.
He profits by lining his own pockets but to be able to do so he needs to stay in power. He does that by being a hero to his base which is a significant part of the Republican party.

I'm part of another forum. a bodybuilding forum which i regularly visit to get advice on lifting etc, there is a miscellaneous section which i sometimes take a look at, its like the right wing version of TL maybe a bit more extreme and is mainly made up of American conservatives, obviously a hell of a lot of Trump supporters and everytime Trump tweets his usual stuff the more they support him, its like he can do no wrong in their eyes, of course the same goes for pretty much any politician and their support base but Trump is particularly interesting as he basicly memed his way to presidency, and the more dumb stuff he does the more of their support he gets, its insane.
I don't believe that the meme advocated violence but it does show just how so many people are past the point of no return, where people not only accept this kind of behaviour from their country's leaders but also support it. I blame the current toxic political climate.
