Dude, you won't have much ink left in your pen without balls, you wouldn't need to worry about orgasms. What did you do in biology classes all these years for fucks sake...
Actually you are the one who did not pay attention in biology class... Even castrated men can get orgasms since testosterone /balls are not required to get one. Your ejaculate would be of minimal volume (not zero, since part of it is created by your prostate) and not contain any sperm but the feeling would be the same.
After a castration your sexual drive reduces to exactly 0 after circa 9 months (without testosterone therapy) You simply get impotent..
Hmmmm I could imagine castrating ones self thinking you will live for another 15 years then as you walk down the street lost in your thoughts thinking about what you will do with another decade and a half of life you get hit by a car. I think I'll pass
As it is presented (as something you do early on in life to increase your chances of living longer), nope, wouldn't do it.
If it were some kind of genie-type thing, where I could do it when I was like 90, I'd definitely consider it. They probably won't have much use at that point anyhow.
Before the 20th century men and women had equal life expectancy. It's not biological, it's psychosocial. This 'doctor' needs to get some corroborating evidence for his/her outlandish theories.
It's not the lack of balls, it's the fact that having balls means you also go after women. Women = less money, more stress, and kids which leads to even less money and a lot more stress and people who are after your inheritance. It's a downward cycle.
