Well, of course this thread was fake it became quite obvious when he claimed to have told her and then has sex with her. Some would say it was obvious from the beginning but I had my doubts while reading it (read it all in one go) since I have had a friend confessing something very related to me. Not as extreme, but related indeed.

I post even though it's now known to all that it is fake, because I'm pretty revolved with the generel opinion around here. So intolerant. There were many who said 'just fuck her' as well, but they appearently didn't take this thing very seriously. The fact is that many/most people have thoughts or fantasies that would disgust some people if reveal to the public. Since they are sexual in this case they may surprise people more, but we already know how we can be repulsed/offended by other people's opinions on racism/politics/humanism, still we accept other views on many of these things - namely politics. Sexual preferences are more of a taboo, but nonetheless just as real to many, and the generel view on these things are an enemy to the free mind.

Face it, personal preferences/feelings are HIGHLY subjective and it's a mistake to hold them up against the masses opinions on the subject. Common ethics are not necessarily rational or right, and even if they are they are still too unforgiving towards the human flaws that are a part of us all. I'm not saying that it doesn't mind if you are attracted to a sibling (or other person that it is considered wrong to fantazies about), it is a problem to most people since it will affect their relationship to the person in question and cause some worries and rise some important questions. The person feeling the attraction is the one who has to deal with it though, and judging the person is wrong since it's an unfortunate situation that many could find themselves in (perhabs not that exact same situation but another dilemma) and that there is no given answer to. If the person in question accepts his feelings or otherwise deal with them, it's great for him/her, but there are no set way of handling the problem. I would advice people in similar dilemmas to accept their feelings and recognize them as human, and then try to get on with it. As someone mentioned it's tricky to debate such a thing with a relative, but if your sibling was of the unusually understanding kind it could be considered. I'd advice letting a good friend or another neutral party in on it instead.

Arguing that the guilt he felt proves that his thoughts were wrong are not valid, in my opinion. Guilt is something we feel when we cross boundaries that are taught us, it is boundaries set by the society through time, but are just like the common opinion very intolerant and blind to the complex feelings of human beings. If you feel guilty of something, you need to ponder on the subject, but don't think that you are necessarily doing something wrong. Don't let anyone tell you that something is ultimately wrong and undebateble. Denying your feelings are the worst thing you can do, this leads to you surpressing bad feelings about your self, which will eventually fall you in your back.

With this in mind, anyone who have someone opening to them shouldn't judge right away even if they are deeply repulsed by what they hear. It's ok to let the one who opens to you know that you disagree in their actions, but at least put it in a constructive way. Also bear in mind, that just because it's wrong to you doesn't make it an absolute.

I pity all the narrow minded people out there. I'm not saying this to flame anyone in particular, but it's just that nothing makes you feel a bigger man than being able to cope with things you dont' understand or agree on, and perhabs even be able to make a difference to a fellow human being.
