I know that there is a lot of talk about possible legal claims being brought against the cinema, but I tend to think that they'd be very tough claims to prevail upon. In Colorado, there is case law that imposes a legal obligation upon merchants to implement added security when there is a pattern and history of dangerous crime at their premises. As far as I have heard, this particular hasn't had problems with violent gun crime in the past. I could be wrong about that, though.

So you're obviously trying to suggest Americans are savages more prone to violence, but in all honesty I think gun control laws is the primary factor. Yes, if someone really wants a gun they can usually get one, but in the US it's a lot easier.

Canada has 1/10th the population and stricter gun control, and it does happen in Canada, there was a shooting in Toronto last week that killed a few people.

I see there might be some lessons to learn from getting to know why someone would do such a thing, mainly to try to avoid them in the future. But i don't agree with you; this man WANTS to be captured alive and get his fame, and tell the world about his sick ideas and thoughts. I say shut his thoughts down. Don't let him speak, don't spread his thoughts and ideas, because that's what he wants. Atleast not publically. Don't give him anything.
