We made a similar drink on New Year's with all the cast off bottles of alcohol and mix we had around. We called it a bad idea.
1/2 oz peach vodka
1/2 triple sec
1/2 blue curacao liqeur
1/2 tequila
1/2 rum
1/2 peach schnapps
1/2 oz of vodka
And a splash of Coke or Sprite or OJ. Whatever's around.
It actually tasted pretty good. But I think one out of three people partaking it got sick. And yeah it looks the same with sprite, some kind of crazy green colour with OJ, and like coke with coke.
My old reliable is vodka tonic, because tonic water is delicious.
And If I'm not trying to get drunk I drink some sort of beer. Millstreet Organic is my beer of choice, and there's some decent cheaper European Beers like Staropramen, Pilsner Urquell, BitBurger, Czechvar, Faxe, but given the choice I'll drink the Organic.

haha sure heres my everclear recipe:
1 Generous portion of psychadelic plant material (psilocybin mushrooms, morning glory seeds, yopo seeds, marijuanna works too, etc..)
5 - 10 ounces of everclear
Soak for a month, strain and discard plant matter. Evaporate liquid in well ventilated area. Consume with nice people in a quiet setting.
I dont see why anyone would try to get drunk off that shit lol. Its good solvent, thats it, lol.

That sounds like too much juice for how much liquor is going in that. We've done the whole bottle of regular vodka, 15 strong beers(Cheap 6% shit), and I can't remember if it was 1 or 2 cans of fruit punch. I hate vodka and I could chug that stuff down.

As whiskey goes, I love both bourbon and scotch. For beer I enjoy most every kind of beer as long as they are well crafted. My favorite being anything dark, I love beer so thick it could be considered a meal replacement. And my father being the wine snob he is, I have always grown up drinking extremely nice wine, for me personally I like anything red.

I don't really think that's true. Commercial beers are very much the same (like Carlsberg, or they drink a lot of Budweiser and Michelob in EU). As far as artisan beers go, they are also very much the same. Both continents have some amazing beer.
My favorite drink, however, I would say is either gin and tonic, a gimlet (yeah I like gin), or a nice beer (usually on the paler side).
EDIT: When I say Gimlet, I mean the true gimlet: half lime juice, half gin. Always Beefeater by the way.

Depends on what you're drinking, not every drink tastes like alcohol, and I'm pretty sure noone likes the taste of beer on their first try. You acclimatise.
Rum and cokes are my favorite for relaxed drinking, but there are loads of other options.
Try some girly fruit drinks and work your way up
