Since I don't like anything above 40% any more (puked too often when I was younger) and beer is not to my liking, what else is there to get used to? I remember tremendously enjoying one kind of beer, it had a very malt-beer taste (not so sweet, obviously) to it, had a higher alcohol percentage than normal beer and was darker, but not bitter at all. Any idea what I might have drunk? ![]()

Any idea what I might have drunk? ![]() There's wines, ciders, cognacs and all sorts of alcohol types in the beer - vodka range, there are of course some outside of this range as well, but anything lighter than an alcoholic beer I wouldn't really consider "alcohol" any more. What you drunk might be a kind of "Strong" beer. They make it sweeter than regular beer quite often, to disguise the taste of alcohol in it.

My wallet has thanked me ever since. BTW your not all douchey hipsters if all you like is craft and micro brews...but some of you are. ;D I also used to mostly drink craft beers. But now for my nights out drinking I mostly go for maybe two beers I haven't tasted before and then whatever ecological lager is the cheapest. When I treat myself to something special nowadays, it's usually dark rum or whiskey.
