Good luck, I will pray and hope for the democrats keeping the main power in the US.
Many republicans are such warmongers (McCain and Bush are, to me atleast) it's really sad that there wont be a reasonable alternative to Obama (atleast in this Dane's head), not because Obama has done it horrible necessarily, just because alternatives are allways

Right, damn those republicans for declaring war on Libya!

Oh wait...

usa didnt declaring war on libya ... it was the nato

NATO isn't the US. Simple fact is Obama declared war on Libya without congressional approval dragging the US into ANOTHER middle east war, all to help the French who feared over their oil supply line.

Please do some research and think. The cost of maintaining a no-fly zone over Libya, during which not a single American life was lost, dwarves in comparison to the Iraq and Afghani wars (thankfully he's finally getting out of Iraq). And if you think that the US should do nothing to protect oil supplies, look at what happened the past month with rising oil prices simply due to SPECULATION that Iran MIGHT declare war. MIGHT. Now imagine if one of the oil transport routes to Europe was actually disrupted due to war/conflict. You'd be out to hang him according to your standards.

There is not enough education in the United States to make an informed decision about who to vote for.

Foreign policy? World economics? War? How many of us are qualified to cast a vote based on these topics? How many of us know the tax codes inside and out?

When the candidates themselves go out of their way to manipulate you, it's difficult to actually make a decision. We believe what they tell us. The Iraq war was unpopular because it was televised and spun as a right-wing led invasion. On the other hand, Afghanistan doesn't have nearly as much coverage. Our soldiers suffer because the citizens simply don't pay attention. We're too busy to care. We're too busy to read up on world affairs and how things work.

These systems are so impenetrable, you can't make an informed decision. Luckily, it's not up to us. It's up to the electoral colleges. But I digress.

Romney or Obama? If Romney is elected I guarantee you that the Afghanistan war will suddenly become a hot topic, and why hasn't Romney brought our boys home yet?

That said, Obama can't lose. He knows this. I don't see how anyone can't know that. The republican party has had to cater to Tea Party extremists for far too long, and it shows. I've seen it here in Virginia! They tried to pass a bill that mandated transvaginil ultrasounds for abortions. Another bill declared that life begins at conception. This is the disaster that they're facing.

If you can't jam with the best, then you have to slam with the rest.

2 points:

1. Was Libya really that big of a deal? No American lives were lost, American feet would never touch Libyan soil, and we followed the lead of the international community. I feel that is the complete opposite of war-mongering and in stark contrast to what Bush would have done.

2. The people that truly believe that Romney will balance the budget are delirious and naive. There is no way a first term president will cut spending and attempt to reduce the deficit. Cutting spending does not get you re-elected so at this point you better pray that Obama goes rogue and just pushes stuff through. Else Romney will probably just cut taxes, ignore the deficit, and spend all in the name of "boosting the economy."

There is a massive conflict of interest in American politics as making the hard decisions usually results in the politician getting kicked out of office.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I am a graduating college student from Boston who supports Obama (although not wholeheartedly). Having said that I have a feeling Romney will win the election, as he can only get stronger and Obama weaker.

You do understand that it's not the president's job to balance the budget, don't you? That's Congress.

You do understand that Mitt Romney balanced budgets primarily by means of hostile corporate takeovers and mass layoffs, don't you? That's not particularly good for job growth.

Just making sure.

Yeah, it's not like presidents are required to approve budgets or other laws from Congress or anything for them to be effective. Also, I forgot that part of the job description of the governor of Massachusetts is to engage in hostile corporate takeovers. Apparently my civics classes were worse than yours.

All Romney wants to do is make the rich richer and cut support to the poor. He agrees with Ryans budget that gives the military more money than it literally asked for and then Ryan accused those who made the military budget of lying about how much they needed and instead of making that money useful he cuts a substanial amount of social services. Romneys against the buffett rule that would cut taxes for anyone who makes under a million a year. Romney has tried to appeal to the rebulican party so much during the primary he dug himself a hole for the general election, can't wait to see what position he flip flops on next!

Yeah, and states break those laws all of the time, particularly over the past several years due to sharp decreases in revenue due to the economic downturn.

But back on point: are you so intellectually dishonest that you won't admit the simple fact that Massachusetts had balanced budgets under Romney?

You do understand that Mitt Romney balanced budgets primarily by means of hostile corporate takeovers and mass layoffs, don't you? That's not particularly good for job growth.

Just making sure.

Yeah, it's not like presidents are required to approve budgets or other laws from Congress or anything for them to be effective. Also, I forgot that part of the job description of the governor of Massachusetts is to engage in hostile corporate takeovers. Apparently my civics classes were worse than yours.

Source: Read any Op-Ed by Paul Krugman.
