So it's basically a matter of Obama pulling away more than .5% so that a recount doesn't need to occur. Romney may be able to force the recount, but I don't see him getting a win on the first try here.

yeah and the democratic party is based around kids who grew up watching the daily show.

Even with a recount making up that many votes will be hard.

Americans (specifically the right) tend to exaggerate left leaning political groups. Democrats are socialists. Socialists are communists. And true communists are evil incarnate.

Republicans have compared Democrats to socialists/communists to get the Cuban vote down here in Miami Florida for decades.

Bookies strongly favour a Democrat victory in Virginia. Obama to win there is down to 1.3, Romney out to 3.2 now to take Virginia. This is a big change from a few minutes ago, where Democrats winning Virginia was at 1.7 or so.

Tolerating uncertainty is not necessarily good, being afraid not necessarily bad. I don't understand what this is supposed to prove. With regard to the flawed perception of a "reason vs. emotion" dichotomy, people espouse a clear preference.
I wouldn't disagree if someone said I was less tolerant of uncertainty than most or that I was more afraid. I don't think either of those things are bad; I tend to think I am fairly rational. Tolerating uncertainty doesn't even seem rational, it is just acceptance of risk. I'll pull the communism card; many people probably should have been more afraid and less tolerant of communist ideology. Conservatives were right on that one.

Really meaningless talking point. He didn't even have a plan. He didn't specify any spending cuts. He claims he'll close $5T of loopholes, and he hasn't named a single loophole he would close. Presidents don't write legislation. That is his point. He could make a bunch of promises and then disappoint people like Obama, or he can say he would work with Congress and lay out his guiding principles. He chose the second one, which I think is better. Presidents write budgets, Obama has one, it's got 250 pages of detail. Romney doesn't have anything, he wouldn't name anything at all, so how are people suppose to judge his "plan"? He's tax principles are mathematically impossible. He's response? Of course it adds up. Then, show us how.
He's not naming anything because if Romney says he'll close whatever loophole or cut whatever spending, people who rely on that would recoil.

And we still have 30% of Miami-Dade and 16% of Broward. As well as St. Lucie with 35% left leaning Obama. The red counties are smaller and have 11% or less to go.
Edit: Whoops, except Lee.

florida might still go to romney, if not, then certainly likely to go into recount

You mean peer reviewed studies don't count? No. I mean that abc health blog pop news coverage of a metareview doesn't count. Do you understand the difference? That's more what I was trying to figure out. If I asked you to post a short story by, say, Anton Chekov, would you post a review of a Chekov story and call it a day? ? They include links which source their claims to the actual studies. It's not rocket science, and it's not taken out of context.
